Daily Objective Demonstrate knowledge of technical theatre safety in the classroom. Create Safety Posters as a demonstration of this knowledge. Test knowledge of theatre safety in the classroom through classroom Jeopardy.
Warm-Up 25 minutes In groups of two you will create a Theatre Safety Poster or Advertisement based on an assigned section from the CPHS Theatre Safety Manual. Create Images or pictures of examples of what to do/what not to do. Try and get creative with your posters so people will want to look at them. You will teach your assigned section and present your poster to the class when finished.

Safety Rules and Regulations The following power point is a list of rules and regulations that each student must practice on the CPHS stage and shop areas. In order for a student to take part in the many hands-on activities that we will be doing, he/she must pass with an 90 or higher on the written safety test. The Most Dangerous Part of Production The most dangerous time of a production is the strike when the show is over and the technical elements are dismantled and stored. This time of exhilaration and exhaustion warrants a greater degree of attention and vigilance than any other period in the course of the production.
