Handbook 2017-2018 CONSTITUTION, DIRECTORY, BYLAWS, REGULATIONS, AWARDS AND HISTORY As amended to June 10, 2017

BC Hockey Handbook 2017-2018 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE BOARD Chair of the Board Randy Henderson We should once again be very proud of the programs offered throughout the branch. Our moral compass in dedicating ourselves to providing ageappropriate programming to our youth, males and females, is well directed. We also strive to have national-leading programs at junior, senior and recreational hockey levels. I have every confidence in our quality of purpose and desire to grow the game. None of the fine programming in the branch could be accomplished without our volunteers who are proven world class quality. My sincere thanks for all your hard work and commitment to helping our players enjoy the game, particularly with our youngest participants. The quality of our volunteers is reflected in BC hosting the 2017 World Under-17 Challenge in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John again this fall and the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship in Vancouver and Victoria next year. The efforts of our volunteers to uphold and respect the rules of the game have built a proud heritage as we approach our 100 th Anniversary. I know our joint actions support a sport culture of fun in a safe environment. We all support our vision to lead, develop and promote lifelong hockey experiences. i

2017-2018 BC Hockey Handbook It has been an incredible honour and humbling opportunity to Chair the Board on your behalf. Being surrounded by quality board members, a reliable branch staff, enthusiastic game partners and the best volunteers in the country has made the job incredibly rewarding. My sincerest thanks to all of you as we carry on the proud tradition of hockey in our great branch. ii
