It is the Tour s longest-running tournament in the same metro area, and the tournament has been won by a World Golf Hall of Famer 12 times in its 30-year history. Coming off two starts on the PGA TOUR, Steve Stricker will make his season debut, while Jerry Kelly will make his first start as the Charles Schwab Cup leader. They will be joined by three-time tournament winner Bernhard Langer, 2017 Charles Schwab Cup winner Kevin Sutherland, and last week s winner Mark Calcavecchia. 33 of the 36 players who qualified for the 2017 Charles Schwab Cup Championship 6 members of the World Golf Hall of Fame 57 PGA TOUR winners with 290 total career victories 49 PGA TOUR Champions winners with 193 total career victories 17 players with a PGA TOUR Champions major victory; 16 with a PGA TOUR major 2017 Recap: Couples Returns to Winner s Circle Fred Couples closed with a bogey-free 67 and defeated second-round leader Miguel Angel Jimenez by three strokes. It was his second win at the Chubb Classic, and his first victory on PGA TOUR Champions since the 2014 Shaw Charity Classic. Couples went on to win the American Family Insurance Championship in June, and he finished the season 13th in the Charles Schwab Cup. He is not in this week s field due to a back injury, and he is the first player unable to defend his title since Mark Wiebe in 2014 (Pacific Links Hawai i Championship).

Page 2 of 6 Pre-Tournament Media Notes Tournament Storylines Stricker to Make Season Debut Though Steve Stricker will make his season debut on PGA TOUR Champions at the Chubb Classic, it will be his third straight week of competition. Two weeks ago, he finished T31 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and last week he finished T26 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Last season, he had five top-10s in six starts on PGA TOUR Champions, including four top-three finishes. All 16 of his rounds were under par, and his scoring average was 67.75. No Sophomore Slump for Kelly Last year, Jerry Kelly made his PGA TOUR Champions debut at the Chubb Classic and finished T3. He went on to win twice and finish seventh in the Charles Schwab Cup en route to earning Rookie of the Year honors. He will return to Naples as the early leader in the 2018 Charles Schwab Cup standings, as he won the season-opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. Kelly has also played in two events in the PGA TOUR 2017-18 Season. He finished T14 at the Sony Open, and last week he teamed up with Aaron Rodgers at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Langer in the Record Book Bernhard Langer, a three-time champion of the Chubb Classic, is coming off a runner-up finish at the Boca Raton Championship. It was his 150th career top-10, which is No. 9 on the Tour s all-time list. He is one shy of Dale Douglass and Dave Stockton s totals of 151, and Hale Irwin is the all-time leader with 210. Langer led the Charles Schwab Cup 23 of the first 25 weeks of the 2017 season, but he tied for 12th in the season finale and finished second in the final standings. Though he was unable to win his fourth straight Charles Schwab Cup, it was his sixth consecutive top-two finish in the season-long competition and he was named PGA TOUR Champions Player of the Year for the seventh time. Langer also set many records in 2017. He became the second player to win three senior majors in one year, he became the Tour s all-time leader in major wins (10), he broke the single-season money record ($3,677,359), and he won his sixth straight money title. The most elusive PGA TOUR Champions record remains, however, as his 36 career victories is nine shy of Hale Irwin s record 45 wins. Coming in Hot Mark Calcavecchia is the Tour s most recent winner, as he won last week s Boca Raton Championship in wire-to-wire fashion. It was his fourth victory on PGA TOUR Champions and first since the 2015 Principal Charity Classic, and he moved to No. 2 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. David Toms is coming off a fourth-place at the Boca Raton Championship, his fourth straight top-five finish dating back to last year. He has recorded 10 consecutive rounds in the 60s (four last year, six this year), and he is No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. Hall of Fame History The Chubb Classic has been won by a World Golf Hall of Famer 12 times, including: three-time winner Bernhard Langer; two-time winners Fred Couples, Hale Irwin and Lee Trevino; Gene Littler, Lanny Wadkins and Gary Player, winner of the inaugural event in 1988. This year s field includes six members of the World Golf Hall of Fame: Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Mark O Meara, Sandy Lyle, Jose Maria Olazabal and Ian Woosnam.

Page 3 of 6 Pre-Tournament Media Notes Past Champions in the Field The 78-player field includes three past champions: Bernhard Langer, Lee Janzen and Kirk Triplett. Fred Couples, the 2010 and 2017 champion, is currently sidelined with a back injury, and he becomes the first player unable to defend his title since Mark Wiebe could not play in the 2014 Pacific Links Hawai i Championship (injury). 2017 Fred Couples 2002 Hale Irwin 2016 Bernhard Langer 2001 Gil Morgan 2015 Lee Janzen 4 2000 Lanny Wadkins 1 2014 Kirk Triplett 1999 Allen Doyle 2013 Bernhard Langer 1998 Gil Morgan 2012 Kenny Perry 1997 Hale Irwin 2011 Bernhard Langer 1996 Al Geiberger 2010 Fred Couples 1995 Bob Murphy 2009 Loren Roberts 1994 Mike Hill 2008 Scott Hoch 3 1993 Mike Hill 2007 Bobby Wadkins 1992 Jimmy Powell 2006 Loren Roberts 1991 Lee Trevino 2005 Mark James 1990 Lee Trevino 2004 Craig Stadler 2 1989 Gene Littler 2003 Vicente Fernandez 1988 Gary Player 1. After both Janzen and Bryant hit their drives on the first extra hole, Bryant s second shot hit railroad ties in front of 18 and caromed into the water, opening the door for Janzen, who then hit his 7-iron to 40 feet and two putted for the win. PGA TOUR Champions 2018 Season Overview Page 5 of 6 Pre-Tournament Media Notes PGA TOUR Champions is a membership organization of professional golfers age 50 and older, including 35 members of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The Tour s mission is to provide financial opportunities for its players, entertain and inspire its fans, deliver substantial value to its partners, create outlets for volunteers to give back and generate significant charitable and economic impact in tournament communities. In 2018, the PGA TOUR Champions schedule includes 27 tournaments across the United States, Scotland and Canada, with purses totaling more than $56 million. The Charles Schwab Cup, which includes the Regular Season and the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, is used to determine the seasonlong champion. All events are televised in the United States, with most receiving complete coverage on Golf Channel, the exclusive cable-television partner of PGA TOUR Champions. Internationally, telecasts air in excess of 190 countries and territories, reaching more than 330 million potential households. Follow PGA TOUR Champions online at PGATOUR.com, at facebook.com/pgatourchampions, on Twitter @ChampionsTour and on Instagram @pgatourchampions. Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs In 2017, Kevin Sutherland became just the third player to win the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and the Charles Schwab Cup in the same season. His breakthrough win at the season-ending event was the first of his PGA TOUR Champions career, and it was enough for him to surpass Bernhard Langer, who had won the Charles Schwab Cup the previous three years. The third edition of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs will begin with 72 players at the Dominion Energy Charity Classic (Oct. 15-21). The top 54 will advance to the following week s PowerShares QQQ Championship, and the season will conclude with the top 36 players at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship (Nov. 5-11). The 2018 Rookie Class For players to become eligible to compete for PGA TOUR Champions events they must turn 50 years of age by the first competition round. If a player plays less than six tournaments in his first season of eligibility, he is considered a rookie the following season. Newcomers for 2018 with at least one PGA TOUR win include: Brent Geiberger (May 22) Robert Gamez (July 21) Dudley Hart (August 4) Darren Clarke (August 14) Chris DiMarco (August 23) Upcoming rookie classes include: 2019 Retief Goosen (February 3), Angel Cabrera (September 12), Ernie Els (October 17) 2020 Jim Furyk (May 12), Mike Weir (May 12), K.J. Choi (May 19), Phil Mickelson (June 16)

Page 6 of 6 Pre-Tournament Media Notes PGA TOUR Champions 2018 Schedule 1. Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai: Jerry Kelly birdied the 18th hole in the final round to turn a one-shot deficit into a one-shot victory over Colin Montgomerie. Leading by one on No. 18, Montgomerie found the fairway bunker off the tee and missed the green with his approach. After Kelly made his 18-foot birdie putt, Montgomerie had a chance to force a playoff, but his six-foot par putt slid by the hole. 2. Boca Raton Championship: Mark Calcavecchia captured his fourth PGA TOUR Champions title in wire-to-wire fashion, finishing two shots better than Bernhard Langer. Langer, who trailed by as many as four on Sunday, evened the score at 16-under with two holes to play, but he bogeyed the last two holes and finished second. The win was Calcavecchia s first since the 2015 Principal Charity Classic. 3. Chubb Classic 4. Cologuard Classic 5. Toshiba Classic 6. Rapiscan Systems Classic 7. Mitsubishi Electric Classic 8.
