RULES 1 The show will be run in accordance with the 2018 NPS rulebook. 2 All stallions and colts two years old and over must hold a current Stallion license, unless otherwise governed by their individual Breed Society. 3 All M & M ponies must be registered in their respective stud books and shown as per Breed Society rules. 4 The Judges decision will be final. 5 Substitute and nomination entries are not allowed. 6 The show or any of its officers, servants or assistants shall not be held responsible or accountable for any loss, injury or damage that may happen from/to any animal, property or vehicle brought onto the showground, or whilst entering or leaving the same, or otherwise in connection with or arising out of or attributable to the show or to the conditions or rules prescribed by the committee thereto. 7 Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any consequential loss, injury or damage done to or occasioned by or arising from any animal, including the spread of infection or contagious disease or article exhibited or introduced to the showground by him or her and shall indemnify the show and its officials against all actions, proceedings, liabilities, claims damages and expenses in relation to or arising from his/her entries in the show. 8 Making entry/entries in the Show shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions. 9 Objections to entries or awards must be made in writing to the Secretary, on the Show Day accompanied by a deposit of 50.00, which will be refunded if the objection is sustained. All objections shall be delivered to the Secretariat within an hour of the occurrence/incident otherwise they will not be considered. 10 Absolutely NO PARKING on the driveway to Barleyfields Equestrian Centre. 11 In the interest of safety lunging is only permitted in allocated signed areas. 12 Handlers of stallions or colts must have attained their 14 th birthday before 1 January of the current year. 13 Members of individual Breed Societies must make themselves aware and abide by NPS Rules, when competing in affiliated classes. 14 Handlers of ponies in In-Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear correctly secured current British standard skull caps/riding hats. 15 It is the owner s due diligence to ensure that horses/ponies are not left unattended whilst tied to the side of trailers/lorries. 16 Exhibitors are not allowed to set up corals in the lorry park. 17 In the interest of safety please obey the instructions of the Show Committee or any other Official of the Show at all times. 18 In the event of cancellation, a 10.00 admin fee will be deducted from each exhibitor. RIHS levies will not be refunded. 19 Any person submitting a dishonoured cheque will be subject to a 30.00 administration fee and will be banned from any future events. 20 All Ridden stallions must wear a stallion disk while under saddle on the show ground. 2

The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from each of the above classes will qualify for a Semi-Final to be held at Heritage Championship Show at Arena UK (The qualification will not pass down the line). These classes are also qualifiers for the B.S.P.S. Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge, the B.S.P.S. Premier League, the B.S.P.S. Black Country Saddles and B.S.P.S. WOW Factor ( Winner of Winners ). These classes are open to Stallions, mares and geldings Fifteen years old and over registered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB; the GSB; the AHSB; the AASB, or registered in the main body of their respective M&M Stud Book. Part breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. All horses and ponies must be in a sound and healthy condition. The owner does not have to be an NPS member for the pony to enter this competition but only ponies owned by NPS Qualifying or Life members can qualify for the final. Classes 7-8 qualifiers for TSR Not before 11am PONIES UK CLASSES To compete in Classes 9 to 12, Owners must be Adult Members /Riders must be current P(UK) Annual Riders Members and the Ponies currently registered with P(UK) before time of entry to compete in these classes. Open to Mountain and Moorland Ridden Stallion (Intermediate class only), Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C or D. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five will receive notification of their qualification for the RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden and the highest placed pony and rider not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the P(UK) RIHS Amateur Riders M&M Finals at The RIHS Hickstead 25th July 2018. Results will be verified by the office. It is expected that exhibitors will enter the true spirit of this competition and trainers and producers must not enter the ring during the judging process. The Directors reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitor s entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the Directors considered opinion. On completion of all ridden classes the following will take place in Ring One NPS/THE MINNS FAMILY M&M RIDDEN SILVER MEDAL ROSETTE CHAMPIONSHIP Winners from ALL NPS affiliated M & M classes are eligible with the exception of WHP, Lead Rein & First Ridden classes). A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony in the M & M Ridden section. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification. 6

NPS/FOLLYWOOD SHOW TEAM BRITISH ISLES AREA SUPREME RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER Open to all class winners of NPS affiliated classes, including New Forest Ring class winners. The owner need not be an NPS member for the pony/horse to enter this competition or to qualify for the final but will have to become a Qualifying or Life member to enter the final. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion ponies at each NPS Area show qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship show. If the Supreme and/or Reserve Supreme have already qualified then the qualification may go to the third place, but no lower. AFFILIATIONS NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY (NPS): This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and classes are subject to the strict rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in their respective studbooks, the NPS Stud Books, the Welsh Stud Book, Mountain & Moorland studbook or any other register as appropriate. The National Pony Society Summer Championship Show takes place in Malvern 31 st July-2 nd August 2018. PLEASE NOTE: NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part Breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by NPS members (Qualifying or Life) are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from31 st July-2 nd August 2018. International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-Breds are not eligible for classes unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register or Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. Ponies must be plaited. Qualifying rounds are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by NPS members (Qualifying or Life) are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from31 st July-2 nd August 2018.. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a members the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 1-3 August 2017. British Skewbald and Piebald Association (BSPA) These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead Tuesday 24 th July 2018. Classes will be judged under BSPA rules. Download from www.bspaonline.com. All horses/ponies must be registered and all owners and riders BSPA members prior to the show. Rider s age taken from 1 st January. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will mean disqualification. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153cm or under (Shetlands exempt) must possess a current JMB height certificate All stallions must be graded and licensed by BSPA or hold a BSPA Showing Permit (contact BSPA for Stallion showing permit information) for 2018 and have a BSPA stallion ID card and wear BSPA Stallion ID Disc. No rider under 14 may exhibit a stallion in any class. No competitor / owner / horse may compete in this class or enter the ring without current 2018 Membership of RIHS and a BSPS qualification card. Qualification: 1 st place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2 nd or 3 rd qualify from each class. No competitor may qualifier from lower than 3 rd place.
