Registration opens 8am Sunday, February 14 and closes 12pm Wednesday, February 18. You may register your child for 1 LAND and/or 1 WATER class per session. (Fee based classes are not included in this limitation.) YOUTH SWIM CLASSES AGES 6 TO 12 YEARS Polliwog - Develops skills in water adjustment, floating, kicking, and basic arm strokes. Skills include: bobbing five times, moving comfortably through the water for 15 feet on front and back, and floating unassisted. Guppy - Focuses on deep-water adjustment and endurance. Skills include bobbing 10 times, front crawl and elementary backstroke for 30 feet, floating unassisted and treading water. Minnow - For the intermediate swimmer able to swim one length of the pool front crawl, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke, while continuing to work on treading water for a minimum of 60 seconds. Fish - For children able to comfortably swim two lengths of the pool of front crawl, elementary backstroke, and backstroke. Additional skills include include one length of breaststroke, feet first surface dives, and throwing assists. Flying Fish - Children should be able to swim three lengths of front drawl, backstroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and sidestroke. The butterfly stroke introduced endurance and stroke refinement increased, and competitive swimming practices introduced. Shark - A swim team preparation class. Skills include: three lengths of front crawl, elementary backstroke, backstroke, sidestroke, breaststroke, and one length of butterfly. Flip turns, breaststroke open turns, and junior lifeguarding skills are introduced. TEEN SWIM CLASSES AGES 12 TO 17 YEARS Teen 1 - This beginner class works in small groups to obtain swim skills, safety skills, character development, and team building. Skills include 50 yards/meters of each: elementary backstroke, backstroke, side stroke, and breaststroke. Teen Swim 2 - This intermediate level class works in small groups to improve swim skills, safety skills, character development, and team building. Skills include 50 yards/meters of each: front crawl with side breathing, elementary backstroke, backstroke, and sidestroke; also, 25 yards/meters yards/meters of breaststroke and butterfly.

ADULT SWIM CLASSES AGES 18+ Adult 1 (Basic Skills) - For adults who are new to swimming, including those with no swim experience or have a fear of the water, this small class will focus on water safety and simple swimming skills including floating, kicking, bobbing, crawl stroke, and back stroke. Adult 2 (Preparation Skills) - For adults with some swim experience, this class will focus on stroke technique including breaststroke, elementary backstroke, butterfly, and sidestroke. Adult 3 (Advance Skills) - For adults with an advanced focus on water adjustment, body positioning, breathing, stroke development, skill improvement, and endurance. Adult Combo - Combo class combining all skill levels. Adult 1 and Adult 2 levels.
