On June 9, Mary Ann Renzelli hosted Tee to Green counting only those strokes. Debbie Cherubino won for the 18-hole group with a net 69. Becky Cropp and Rita Robbins tied for the 9-hole group with a net 44. On June 16, Kathy George hosted ONES, counting only the holes beginning with those letters. Rita Robbins won low net with a 33. Barbara Riggleman won both competitions with a net 77 for the President s Cup and 29 points in Bingo, Bango, Bongo (first on the green, closest to the hole and first in the hole). We will have the results of the Women s member/guest in next month s newsletter. We will continue Tuesday morning golf through September meeting in the ladies locker room at 8:30am for a 9:00am tee off. We will again have Ladies Nights on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm so plan to come out and play nine holes with us! From the Superintendent With the recent rains we have had things are very wet. Please use caution with the golf carts and try to keep the golf carts to paths and higher ground, and watch the slopes as it is easy to get them sliding with little control. Also, the wet conditions have softened the greens which, in turn, show ball marks. Please remember to look for and repair your ball marks. Thank You for your cooperation! Steve Marnic TEAM MATCH COMPETITION The BCC Women s Golf Team competed in the State Team Matches at Stonewall Resort on June 25. The team placed sixth. Parkersburg Country Club won the competition. Our ladies received their regional trophy at the awards ceremony after the competition. Participating in the final match were Caroline Ramsey, Deb Cherubino, Robin Ward and Haeley Harman. Congratulations to our team. SENIOR AMATEUR COMPETITION Caroline Ramsey claimed her 13 th WV Senior Amateur title in a rain shortened tournament at Moundsville Country Club on June 16-17. Caroline led after the first round by 1 and that was all she needed as the tournament was shortened to 18 holes. Congratulations to Caroline for making us proud once more! Others attending from BCC were Mary Ann Renzelli and Cindy Davis. *Any questions call me 304-669-0953 or look me up at the club. ~Steve 4
