Principle O2 O2 Test Film N2 N2 To Sensor Mount the sample specimen between the upper and lower cells. The chambers are sealed off. Oxygen (99.999 %) through the upper cell. Outside can be pure O or ambient air (18% O2) 2

Test Phases 1. Flushing N2 in N2 out At the start of the test you will Flush the upper and flower chamber with pure N2. This is to remove all the traces of O2 that are around both sides of the samples. This time (conditioning time) is very often 4 hours. 4
Test Phases 2. Testing O2 in N2 in O2 in N2 + O2 out Once the chamber has been completely flushed you then can insert pure O2 in the upper chamber and N2 in the lower chamber. The O2 will diffusse through the sample and the test gas will be brought to the sensor. The test time depends on the type of product you are measuring. The test time needs to be set until there is no change in permeability. 5

3 independent testing cells (Unique feature) 3 testing cells can give 3 results respectively, and can be connected together to enlarge the testing area for higher barrier materials. Each cell can has its own testing mode: Cycle, proportional or independently. Each cell can be started individually. 7
Optional Satellite Modules Up to 9 modules (27 test cells) can be incorporated. All of them are interconnected and one software package is controlling all of them. All the units contain a high precise idenytical sensor. Max. capacity: total 30 positions. Water Vapour and Oxygen unit can be mixed in one testing line. Each module can start to test different samples while other modules or master are running. 8
