Precautionary Phrases: Keep away from heat / sparks / open flames / hot surfaces-no smoking Keep container tightly closed Ground / bond container and receiving equipment Use only non-sparking tools Take precautionary measures against static discharge Wash Hands thoroughly after handling Wear protective gloves / protective clothing / eye protection / face protection Do NOT induce vomiting Response: IF IN EYES: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical attention. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician IF IN EYES: Rinse continuously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to docontinue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical attention. IF ON SKIN: ( or hair ) : Remove / Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash area with soap and water Rinse skin with soap, water/shower. If skin irritation persists: Get medical attention. Storage: Store in well ventilated place. Keep cool. Store locked up. Disposal: Dispose of contents in accordance with local, regional and national regulations. Section 3- Composition/ Information on Ingredients CHEMICAL CAS NUMBER PERCENT Petroleum Distillate 8052-41-3 79.9 Petroleum oil 64742-52-5 11.7 2-Butyoxyethanol 111-76-2 2.4 The specific identity and/or exact percentage of composition has been withheld as a trade secret Section 4 First Aid Measures Eye: Flush eyes with water, holding the eyelids apart. Remove contact lenses if present, continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists. Skin: Wash thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists. Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Administer oxygen if needed. Apply artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Get medical attention. Ingestion: If swallowed, don NOT induce vomiting. Get medical attention. 2

Most Important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: None known Section 5 Fire Fighting Measures Suitable and Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: Use water spray or fog, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical. Special Hazards Arising from the Chemical: Closed containers may explode from internal pressure build-up when exposed to extreme heat and discharge contents. Liquid content of container will support combustion. Water fog may be used to cool the containers but do not spray directly into large containers of burning liquids as frothing may occur. Dense smoke and noxious or toxic fumes may be generated in a fire. The thermal decomposition products are highly dependent upon the combustion conditions. Noxious or toxic fumes may be generated, some of which may be toxic or irritating. Special Equipment and Precautions for Fire-Fighters: Wear goggles and a NIOSH approved positive pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing. Cool fire exposed containers with water. A fog nozzle is preferred. Section 6 Accidental Release Measures Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing vapors. Ventilate area. Remove all ignition sources. Use caution: slip hazard. Environmental Hazards: Report spills and releases as required to appropriate authorities. Methods and Material for Containment and Cleaning Up: Because of its viscous nature, this product is not expected to leak or spill. Collect liquid spill with an inert absorbent material and place into a suitable container for disposal. Section 7 Handling and Storage Precautions for Safe Handling: Keep closure tight and container upright to prevent leakage. Open container slowly. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Do not take internally. Do not transfer to unlabeled containers. Conditions for Safe Storage, Including any Incompatibilities: Store away from extreme heat and open flames. Store away from oxidizers. Section 8 Exposure Controls / Personal Protection CHEMICAL NAME Petroleum Distillate Petroleum oil 2-Butyoxyethanol EXPOSURE LIMITS 400 ppm, TLV-TWA, ACGIH 5mg/m3, 8hr, OSHA 5mg/m3, 8hr, TLV 50ppm PEL-TLV, OSHA 20ppm, TLV-TWA Appropriate Engineering Controls: Use with adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to maintain exposure levels below the exposure limits. 3

Individual Protection Measures: Respiratory Protection: None under normal use. Avoid breathing vapors. In operations where the occupational exposure limits are exceeded, a NIOSH approved respirator with organic vapor/particulate cartridges or supplied air respirator appropriate for the form and concentration of the contaminants should be used. Selection and use of respiratory equipment must be in accordance with OSHA 1910.134 and good industrial hygiene practice. Skin Protection: Impervious gloves such as rubber or nitrile recommended where needed to avoid prolonged skin contact. Eye Protection: Safety glasses or goggles recommended where needed to avoid eye contact. Other protective clothing or equipment: None under normal use. However, use of solvent resistant aprons or other clothing is recommended. Eye washes and safety showers in the workplace are recommended. Section 9 Physical and Chemical Properties Appearance: Light amber liquid Vapor Density: Heavier than air Odor: Solvent Specific Gravity: 0.78 Odor Threshold: Not established ph: Not available Melting Point/Freezing Point: Not determined Boiling Point: 320 F Flash Point: Greater than 105 F Evaporation Rate: Slower than ether Flammable Limits: LEL: Not established UEL: Not established Vapor Pressure: Not established Water Solubility: Not soluble Octanol/Water Partition Coefficient: Not available Autoignition Temperature: Not available Decomposition Temperature: Not available Viscosity: Not available Explosion Properties: None Oxidizing Properties: Not oxidizing Aerosol Fire Protection Level: Not applicable Section 10 Stability and Reactivity Reactivity: Not reactive under normal conditions of use. Chemical Stability: Stable under normal storage and handling conditions. Possibility of Hazardous Reactions: None known 4

Conditions to Avoid: Use with strong oxidizing chemicals such as concentrated acids. Incompatible Materials: Avoid strong oxidizing agents and acids. Hazardous Decomposition Products: The thermal decomposition products are highly dependent upon the combustion conditions. Noxious or toxic fumes may be generated, some of which may be toxic or irritating. Section 11 Toxicological Information Long term toxicological studies have not been conducted for this product. Potential Health Effects: Eye: May cause mild irritation. Skin: Prolonged contact may cause mild irritation of the skin. Inhalation:. Inhalation of vapors and fumes from thermal decomposition may cause respiratory irritation. Ingestion: Swallowing may cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Chronic Hazards: Prolonged inhalation of thermal decomposition products may result in lung damage. Carcinogen Status: None of the components of this product are listed as carcinogens by IARC, NTP or OSHA. Section 12 Ecological Information Ecotoxicity: Long term ecological studies have not been conducted on this product. Section 13 Disposal Consideration Waste disposal: Dispose of in a responsible manner. Follow local, state and federal guidelines. Do not discharge into sewers or waterways.
