2 Welcome This membership information package is designed to give you basic information about the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club. Located just minutes from Edmonton s west end, our PGA Professional, Mark McCumber designed 18 hole championship golf course was completed in 1993. The course boasts all the fine features of his designs; immaculate contoured greens and strategically placed bunkers are complimented by water hazards on both the front and back nines. The par 72 layout, measuring over 7000 yards from the back tees offers a variety of challenges through the harmony of its natural beauty and woodland surroundings. Mark McCumber designed the golf course to offer a true test for golfers of all levels. A friendly clubhouse provides an elegantly appointed Spike bar, dining room and patio. You can choose to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the 18 th hole and the rest of the golf course from any of these three locations. Lockers, showers and change rooms are augmented with a well equipped golf shop. As well as a full grass driving range, there is a teaching academy to go along with the excellent practice facilities. We have had the honour and privilege of hosting many great tournaments over the years. 7 Assessment Information Course Renovations Repayment Plan On May 12, 2008, our membership approved the plans for renovations to the golf course as presented by the Long Range Planning Committee and the borrowing requirements to finance the construction. The Club had entered into a financing arrangement of $1,500,000 ($700,000 in 2008 and $8000,000 in 2009). These amounts were originally set up on a repayment schedule payable over 15 years to cover the investment. The Board, at it s meeting of September 16, 2008 discussed the issue of repayment of this loan with respect to the classes of membership. The Board, through an appropriate motion, decided that since all classes of primary players will benefit equally from the improved playing conditions, all classes shall share equally in the costs of repaying this loan. The yearly October invoice covers this year s scheduled repayment which is for the Capital loan debt repayment fee for the 2008 golf course renovations projects and 2009 golf course renovation projects. The fees to cover the future payment will only increase/decrease in relation to changes in the contacted load interest rate and/or the number of primary players. The decision to make necessary investments to correct original construction and deficiencies, and appropriate improvements has resulted in a much improved golfing experience for all members. Pond Dredging & Clubhouse Improvements Repayment Plan On October 4, 2011, our membership approved the plans for renovations to our major ponds to dredge them significantly deeper, to provide healthier water, and more water supply for the golf course. Also approved were interior clubhouse improvements including new carpeting, paint, furniture and a larger patio. The club entered into a financing arrangement to be paid on a schedule over 15 years. The Board, through an appropriate motion, decided that since all classes of primary players will benefit equally from the improved playing conditions, all classes shall share equally in the costs of repaying this loan. The yearly December invoice covers these scheduled repayments which is for the Capital Loan debt repayment fee. Primary players that are billed the 2008/2009 renovation assessment and pond dredging and clubhouse improvements include: All current shareholders (members, corporate/executive members) Spouses / Secondary Players Corporate Associates Intermediate A & B Capital Reserve Fund The 2015 Board of Directors commissioned a reserve study to be completed for our property. Recommendations were made to build a reserve account for necessary future maintenance. As calculated by the reserve study, the Club will require $463,514 over 25 years to cover the repair and replacement of our property elements. The Board, through an appropriate motion, decided that each shareholder will be billed $15 per month, ongoing, beginning in June 2016.

Frequently 10 Asked Questions Q: Where is the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club located? A: It is west of the Anthony Henday on 215 Street (Winterburn Road) and 9 th Avenue SW. Take the Anthony Henday to Whitemud Drive heading west and turn left at 215 St. Follow this south until you pass 9 th avenue. The Club will be on your right hand side. Alternatively, you can enter our address, 51320 Range Road 260, Spruce Grove into your GPS. Q: Does the Edmonton Petroleum G&CC have a minimum Food & Beverage charge? A: Yes, it is $900 per member Q: Does EPGCC have an entrance fee? A Yes, As of January 1, 2018 there is a $5000+gst entrance fee. This is the lowest entrance fee of all the private golf clubs in the Edmonton Area. Q: Are there any other extra fees associated with a membership? A: Yes, we have two different assessments that are billed out each year to all primary players. Both assessments are on 15 year loans. Page 7 has further information. As well, since June 2016, each shareholder will be billed a monthly fee of $15 for our capital improvement plan. Q: How many members does the Edmonton Petroleum G&CC have? A: 350 shareholders Q: How does your tee-time booking system work? A: Members can book 1 week in advance for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. They can book 2 weeks in advance for Mondays - Thursdays. Each day, two tee times per hour remain available for 48 hour advanced booking. Q: What is your guest policy? A: One guest can golf a maximum of 12 times throughout the season (6 prime time, 6 non-prime time). During weekends and busy times (ie. Friday afternoons), members can bring up to 3 guests. During non-prime times, members can bring up to 11 guests. Q: I heard the Edmonton Petroleum G&CC might be expanding beyond 18 holes; is this correct? A: The EPGCC owns land directly north of its current facilities that could one day be developed into another 9 holes. This option will be presented to the membership and if it goes ahead, the EPGCC will be the only 27 hole private club in northern Alberta. This means the golf course will be even more accessible for the members that it already is. Q: How do I become an Associate member? A: There are a limited number of associate and non-equity corporate associate positions available every year. Associate members have the same golfing privileges and clubhouse access as equity members, non-equity associates have more restricted access but great guest access neither can vote.
