Check this in the chart at Paragraph: Adaptation of the appliance from a gas to another ).
Page 4 MBE15000NI 03/08 3. INSTALLATION: GENERALITIES 3.1.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A qualified engineer must carry out the installation, modification or repair of the appliance in a workmanlike manner. The appliance is of TYPE A (not connected to an exhaust duct for combustion products). These appliances must be installed in a room with sufficient ventilation according to the regulation and standards in force. The required flow rate of new air for combustion is 2 m 3 /h per kw of heat release rate. If the equipment is installed against a wall or a partition, the latter must be of non-combustible materials or, if not, must be covered with an appropriate, good insulating and non-combustible material. The equipment is not designed to work in an explosive atmosphere. Due to this, it must not be installed in a zone subject to ATEX directive. The appliances must be installed according to EN 1717 and the National rules in force relating to water. Foresee sufficient free spaces for the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment and not hinder access from the front or the sides of the appliance. The manufacturer certifies that the packaging meets the provision 94/62/CE (provision relating to packaging and packaging waste of 12.20.94) and requests that final installer (and user) observes the rules relating to the removal of the packaging (recycling or revalorisation). 3.2. HANDLING The appliance should only be handled with adapted lifting equipment. Should the appliance need to be transported, this must be on its original pallet and it must not be stacked on other appliances under any circumstances. If the appliance is to be moved without its pallet, it should be carried and not pulled. 3.3. UNPACKING Tear (cut) the packaging sheet over its entire height, taking care not scratching the panels. Remove the blocks under the equipment. Remove the stove from its base (by shifting or lifting it). Remove the protective plastic sheet covering the stainless sheets before attempting to switch on the equipment.
Page 5 MBE15000NI 03/08 4. INSTALLATION : CONNECTIONS NATURE AND POSITION OF CONNECTIONS: See "Technical characteristic" at the beginning of the manual. 4.1.ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS The electrical diagram is in the compartment for electrical connection. ACCESS TO ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS: Remove the lid (see procedure below) or open the technical door for access to the tight electric box housing the connecting terminals: an independent electric inlet per line of electric hob present on the stove. Unscrew and remove the lid from the electric box. ELECTRIC CONNECTION: For each of the electric hobs: Lay the supply cable through the corresponding gland. Tighten the gland. Connect the wires to the terminals. REASSEMBLE THE LID ON THE ELECTRIC BOX AND CLOSE THE TECHNICAL ACCESS. IMPORTANT: Use only supply cables of the H07 RN-F type with a section adapted to the power of each hob. Foresee a shut off all-pole device approved the safety of people (with a distance between the contacts of at least 3 mm). The installation must comply with the national regulation texts in force (France : NFC 15.100). The equipment must be connected to the ground. The equipment must also be installed in an equipotential circuit. The builder denies all responsibility in the case the instructions above are not observed.
Page 6 MBE15000NI 03/08 4.2. GAS CONNECTION This appliance is equipped and adjusted to the gas specifications of the order. Check that the adjustments of the appliance correspond to the nature and pressure of the gas supplying the plant. (Seer 1 : Nameplate). Connect the appliance to the gas inlet line by interposing a shut off valve that enables to isolate the appliance from the other part of the plant. The gas inlet line will be dimensioned so as to minimise the load losses: its diameter will be determined depending on its run (length, number of elbows...) and the total power of the appliance. Type of couplers: see the technical characteristics. To check the gas pressure supply of the appliance, it is necessary to connect a water column pressure gauge on a pressure tap placed on the gas line. PRESSURE TAP Loosen the screw (without removing it). Connect the pipe of a water column manometer. Make the measurement with operating burners. Gas pressure so measured must be equal to that indicated on the plate of characteristics for the gas used. (See 1 : Nameplate). IMPORTANT: Gas connection must comply with the standards in force (DTU 61.1) and have to be undertaken only by qualified installers. 4.3. WATER CONNECTION Water connection: See technical characteristics. Min. pressure 2.5 bars, max. 6 bars. Male connection with diameter 21 (1/2 inch). Foresee a shut off valve nearby. 4.4. DRAIN CONNECTION(S) Drain connection: See technical characteristics.
Page 7 MBE15000NI 03/08 5. TECHNICAL ACCESSES: General principles Before any servicing on the equipment, shut off gas and electric supply lines. 5.1. Classic range: Removing of control knobs Loosen the control knob locking screw with a BTR sized 2,5 to flat sides. Pull the knob towards yourself Access to the components placed behind a upper trimming hood on the Classic range: Remove is undertaken by unscrewing the brass frame around the hood in question to enable pulling it towards yourself. Access to the components placed behind a lower trimming hood on the Classic range: Remove is undertaken by unscrewing the brass frame around the hood in question to enable pulling it towards yourself.

PASSING FROM A GAS TO ANOTHER Depending on the country foreseen for the installation and the category of the appliance (indicated on the firm plate), the changeover from a gas to another may require 2 operations: CI : Change nozzles (burner, pilot burner and minimum flow rate). RA : Adjustment of burner and pilot burner primary air ring (size d). Refer to the gas chart of the instructions relating to each gas module. PROCEDURE : On the nameplate, check: The category (ies) of the equipment The gas and pressure for which it is adjusted. In the following table, select: the country in question the gas and the category of the equipment (see above) the gas and pressure for which the equipment is going to be adjusted Follow and carry out the necessary operations Replace the adjustment plate and fill the box with the new gas used.
