We had a wonderful holiday season at the Seaford Moose Lodge with fun filled activities for the whole family. First was that great Thanksgiving Dinner and we then went into our great Christmas Party and Christmas Dinner. We want to thank everyone who helped in any way to make both dinners a great success with the fantastic food and fellowship. Again this year, the Seaford Moose entered a float in the Seaford Christmas Parade and with a lot of hard work from the kids and lodge members to hold the float from blowing away, we were able again to win a trophy in our division. Brothers & Co-Workers, we want to give a big THANK YOU to Santa Claus for his visit to the Seaford Moose Lodge at our Breakfast with Santa and also our Christmas Dinner and for the gifts for all the GOOD LITTLE BOYS & GIRLS this year. Brothers & Co-Workers, I would like to THANK everyone who helped in hosting the Supreme Governor, Fritz Griswold, and his wife Beth, on November 17, 2016 for our meet and greet. The attendance was low but it was a fun filled evening starting with the Supreme Governors address to the membership and our special guest for the evening. Our guests included our local Representative Dan Short, Seaford town Manager Delores Slatcher and husband Bill, Blades Police Chief Paul Anthony, Ambulance Captain from Blades Fire Dept, Gerald Strother and Barry Sullivan, Vice President of Laurel Fire Dept. Brothers & Co-Workers, this is all part of our Community Service in our community. This is Seaford Lodge s way in supporting our Raise The Roof membership program this year, and we need your help by sponsoring a new or former member in this program. Brothers, I am glad to report that we are on target for this year but we still have several months to go so keep up the good work and remember to talk moose whenever you get the opportunity. Brothers, it is hard to believe that the Moose year has passed so fast and by the middle of this two month newsletter in February, we will be starting our Nominating Committee Meetings. Brothers, we have been blessed in the past several years to have a great dedicated group of officers and chairman who are willing to put the time and effort into making our lodge a success. We are looking to add your name to our list of members who care about your lodge. Brothers, I always remember the oath most everyone has taken "A BURDEN HEAVY TO ONE IS BORNE LIGHTLY BY MANY. Brothers, you are the many. Brothers & Co-Workers, in closing please take the time to read your newsletter and check out the calendar. The editors of this spend a lot of time and energy in putting this together, not to mention sometimes they have to help some of us who are slow, and they just help us look good. So, if you see our editors be sure to THANK them.
