HUTCHINSON MOOSE LODGE #982 1401 East First Street LEGION NEWS Let s begin with the great news concerning the Oklahoma/Southwest Kansas Moose Legion report. Those who a ended the 2nd quarter celebra on in Woodward, Oklahoma reported to have had an entertaining and educa onal me. Most exci ng news they brought back was that we have been bumped up a few slots for hos ng a quarterly. This coming October we have the awesome opportunity to show off our Lodge and our uncanny ability to host a grand party. In just five short months the Hutchinson Moose Legion, with the help of our great supporters within in the Lodge, will host the 4th quarter celebra on. What a magnificent chance to welcome our Moose Legion brothers and their spouses from Oklahoma with open arms to a weekend of memorable celebra on. Locally, the June 26th meal will be meat loaf, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, corn on the cob, roll and dessert. Talk about home cookin this will be yet another meal in our line-up you will not want to miss. Thanks to the magnificent and unselfish support of our members and volunteers, the Hutchinson Moose Legion was able to finically support several worthy programs the past couple of months. One of the biggest was a $500.00 dona on to the Supreme Governors Centennial Project. Next Hutchinson Moose Legion mee ng, Friday, June 2nd. SCOTT SAYLOR MOOSE LEGION CHAIRMAN HUTCHINSON, KANSAS (620) 663-4281 Gree ngs everyone. Hope you are loving this weather because we know it won t last. It will be hot soon. I have had me to think it over and I am proud to be the governor for the next year. There are so many things we will want to do to help the Lodge out and hopefully we can get started real soon. We have got to stop and thank the people that help out around the Lodge. They do not have to do anything, but they choose to and that s what makes them great. If we had to pay for all the help we get every month we would have to shut the doors There is no way we could come up with the money, but because several wonderful people take the me and money from their lives to help our old Lodge keep going, it s possible. Like I said let s all thank them for what they are doing next me you are at the Lodge. Next month I will get to a end the Moose Interna onal Conven on Tampa, Fl. As governor I will be represen ng the Lodge and learning what Interna onal has planned for the coming year. Hope they shed some light on us for ideas that will work in our Lodge. I would also like to thank my new Sargent of Arms, Mike Miller and our newest Trustee, Mark Steele. Thanks guys. Glad to have your help. Thank you to all the current year board members we ve got our work cut out for us but nothing we can t handle. Let s make the best of it and shoot for the Premier Lodge Award again. I think we can do it if we put in a li le effort. That s all for this month. GOVERNOR, JERRY RIBORDY
