Refereed ppers bsed on CFHT dt 1980 -> These ppers represent CFHT s contribution to the dvncement of stronomy And the ROI of the funding gencies Through 2011 there hve been 2000 refereed ppers tht hve used CFHT dt These 2000 ppers hve received over 92000 cittions! How hs CFHT s productivity nd impct vried? Compre to other observtories? Wht hs been the productivity of the vrious instruments? Which instruments hve hd the highest impct? All this nd more will be reveled!

1980PASP...92..409V The compct glxy NGC 3928 = Mk 190 is ssigned type E0 in the Second Reference Ctlogue of Bright Glxies (de Vucouleurs, de Vucouleurs, nd Corwin 1976) nd is clssified S0 by Borngen nd Klloglyn (1975). Intgegrted photogrphic surfce photometry by Borngen, Klloglyn, nd Egikyn (1976) yields V = 12.88, (B-V) = 0.82, nd (U-B) 0.06 for this object. The lter vlue is unusully blue for nd erly-type glxy. To check on the E/S0 clssifiction 60 minute III -J + GG 385 exposure of this compct object ws obtined through the f/4.2 wide-field corrector t the prime focus of the CFH 3.6-m telescope in seeing < 1.0. This photogrph shows tht NGC 3928 is, in fct, very smll fce-on spirl with bright core hving dimeter of 8 nd disk dimeter 29 contining well-defined spirl rms. According to Srgent (1972) the bright core of this Mrkrin glxy exhibits λ3727 nd Hβ emission. Published rdil velocity observtions of NGC 3928 re consistent with the ssumption tht it is member of the Urs Mjor Cloud of glxies which is locted t distnce of ~ 10 Mpc. At this distnce the spirl rm region of this glxy extends from 190 pc to 700 pc from its nucleus. With these dimensions NGC 3928 is perhps the smllest glxy in which well-defined spril structure hs ever been observed. The regulrity of the spirl rms in this glxy is quite unexpected becuse its luminosity (M V ~ -17.1 + 5 log h is so low.

The # of publictions is mesure of the productivity of n observtory But how relevnt/importnt is the work? Cittion counts re stndrd mesure of the impct of pper, i.e., the more cittions the more relevnt the work List of ppers retrieved (usully) from observtory websites or obtined from observtory librrins (Thnks!)
