UP IN LIGHTS BOOSTER CLUB: VIP Athletics offers a number of fundraising opportunities throughout the year through our not for profit 501(c)3 Booster Club UP IN LIGHTS Booster Club (UIL). For more fundraising information, please contact Michele Reimer at UILbooster@yahoo.com. PRACTICE SCHEDULE: The practice schedule will vary based on the number of athletes, ages and skills of those placed into each training level. Athletes practice 2 days per week for 2 hours between the hours of 5pm-9pm. Times and days for summer training will be determined and announced on the website on Sunday, May 20 th at 10:00am. Practices begin immediately following evaluations. Team s fall practice schedule includes one Sunday and one Weekday practice between the hours of 5pm-9:30pm. COMPETITION SCHEDULE: TEAMS will compete in 6-9 competitions beginning as early as October and finishing in April. These competitions are held in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and/or Kentucky. The travel team competition schedule will include some of the largest and most reputable competitions held in the area. Expenses for teams receiving a bid to end-of-the-season competitions such as US FINALS or the D2 SUMMIT and WORLDS will be determined at the time of bid achievement and are not included in season assessment fees. All additional classes are offered at a reduced rate for our team athletes only of $10.00 per one-hour class. Please talk to your coaches, contact us at vip.athletics1@gmail.com, or visit our website for more details.

Please take a moment to check your athlete s training classes and times throughout the week on our website. www.vipathleticscheer.com/calendar Evaluations for summer training levels will be for boys and girls under age 18 into the following competitive cheer training classes: Level 1a and Level 1b (Level 1 may be divided by age when necessary.) Level 2 and Level 2elite (Level 2 may be divided by skill level when necessary.) Levels 3 and Level 3elite (Level 3 may be divided by skill level when necessary.) Levels 4/5 (These levels may be combined or split by skill level depending upon necessity.) Athletes will also be attending a weekly Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Stunt Practice. Athletes may be asked to attend more than one level for Stunting at no additional fee. **NEW THIS SEASON** Summer Training Placements will not be limited to tumbling placement ONLY but will consider the athlete s strength, flexibility, coordination, jumps, dance and experience to determine level. TEAM TRY-OUT AND PLACEMENT will take place in July at no additional cost to program members. We consider the summer to be the most beneficial training time for all our athletes. It allows each athlete to train at their highest ability level for an entire summer before being placed onto a team and held to a specific set of skill restrictions for the rest of the season. This also allows time for goal-setting and utilizing gym time and coaches to reach these goals on an individual basis. Once athletes are placed on specific competitive teams, the focus will shift to team-oriented success, however, individual progression can still be attained through extra tumbling and training classes and private lessons available all season.

Most or ALL of your fees can be fundraised through Up In Lights Booster Club (UILBC). We are always open to new fundraising ideas, realizing that no one fundraiser will be perfect for everyone; our goal is to have enough options so that everyone can find something that works for them. All fundraisers are optional and can be used to lower your athlete s individual financial cheer obligations. We invite all team members to participate in fundraising opportunities if they choose to do so. The cost to join UILBC is $50.00. Please contact Michele Reimer for more information.
