2015 Jingle Bell Classic Page 1 of 5 Carpet Capital Aquatics Club 2015 Jingle Bell Classic Meet Saturday, December 5, 2015 14 & Under Swim Meet ENTRIES DUE Tuesday, November 24, 2015 SANCTION: Sanctioned by Georgia Swimming, Inc., Sanction # GA15-132 HOST: Carpet Capital Aquatic Club (CCAC) FACILITY: Dalton High School Natatorium (map to the facility is attached) 1500 Manly Street Dalton, GA 30720 The pool is a 6-lane, 25-yard competition pool with a 4-foot minimum depth, non-turbulent lane lines, and fully automatic Omega electronic timing system and scoreboard with a lane/time/place display. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming & Georgia Swimming. The pool depth at the start end is 4 ft and the pool depth at the turn end is 12 ft. Bleacher seats provide ample seating for spectators. Ample parking is available in the east parking lot of the high school. MEET DIRECTOR: The Meet Director is Jason Meszaros; 423-902-3075; jdmeszaros@gmail.com OFFICIALS: The Meet Referee will be Judy Rehberg; 706-313-1697 jmrehberg@hotmail.com. The Carpet Capital Aquatic Club welcomes and encourages the assistance of certified officials and apprentices from the visiting teams. Please contact the Meet Referee in advance or when you arrive, if you are interested in officiating. Please arrive at least 60 minutes before the start of the session. All officials must present their current LSC Officials certification card current 2015 USAS Membership Card and wear them on deck at all times while working the meet. Dress will be white shirts over blue pants, shorts or skirts. There will be an Officials meeting at 8:15 AM on Saturday, December 5 th. SAFETY MARSHALL: The Safety Marshall for this meet will be Mitch Mashburn. COACHES: There will be a mandatory Coaches Meeting at 8:35 AM on Saturday, December 5 at the timing desk. Coaches will be required to sign in and show their U.S.A. Swimming coaches card. Coaches must wear their current USAS card at all times while at the meet. The pool will be cleared during the meeting. ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be USA Swimming registered athletes. Entries will not be accepted without 2015 registration numbers. On deck registrations will not be accepted. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session. TIME STANDARDS: There are no time standards required for participation. RULES: The current USA-S Rules and Regulations will govern the conduct of the meet, unless noted otherwise herein. All coaches and officials must wear current year USA BADGES on deck at all times. A swimmer's age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet. Swimmers are responsible for swimming in assigned heats and lanes. Dive-over starts may be utilized at the discretion of the meet referee and meet management. DECK CHANGE Changing, in whole or in part, into or out of a swimsuit when wearing just one suit in an area other than a permanent or temporary locker room, bathroom, changing room or other space designated for changing purposes while at a practice, competition, or other pool-related activity. The practice of Deck Changing is prohibited at all USAS Sanctioned events. Swimmers participating in deck changing would be in violation of the USA Swimming Rule 202.2.9I and could be subject to removal from further competition in the meet. 2015 Jingle Bell Classic Page 2 of 5 WARM UP: Georgia Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. The Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm up prior to each session. STARTING TIMES: Session Warm-up Competition Saturday AM: 7:30 AM 9:00 AM Saturday PM: At the Conclusion of the AM Session 1 Hour after Warm Up Begins An approximate time line will be posted on the CCAC Web page on Thursday, December 3rd. Please be aware that this is an approximate timeline and actual start times are based upon many factors. ENTRIES: Teams who have HYTEK'S Meet/Team Manager should submit their entries via email, CD/DVD, jump drive (please send in COMMlink file format or WIN-MM format). E-mailed HYTEK entries are preferable. Entry forms must be completely filled out including the swimmers best times for yards. Please provide a written copy of entries for verification purposes. Results will be returned via email and posted to the ccacswimming.org web site after the meet. DEADLINE: Entry disks and/or printouts, summary/release sheets, and entry fees, including surcharges, must be received by the Meet Director on or before Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Late entries will be accepted for empty lanes only; new heats will not be created. All swimmers entering late must show their USA registration card to the clerk of course to verify their current USA membership. Completed entries must be sent to: Jason Meszaros (423-902-3075) P.O. Please make checks payable to: Carpet Capital Aquatics Club. All entry fees are non-refundable. $2.00 Out of State fee (swimmers not registered USA with Georgia Swimming, Inc.) LIMITS: Swimmers are limited to 5 individual events per day, exclusive of relays. Entries will be limited to the first 350 swimmers, including the Host Team s swimmers, that have submitted all required documentations and fees by the meet deadline. If a non host team s entries cause the limit to be exceeded, all entries for that team will be accepted MEET FORMAT: This is a timed finals meet. All events will be pre-seeded and swum according to the order of events in the meet information sheet. SPECIAL NOTE: Meet Director reserves the right to combine events and heats should the number of entries exceed a given four hour session. Coaches will be notified in advance of such a change should the 10- under girls need to be moved to the afternoon session. The Meet Director reserves the right to conduct the competition in a single session based on the number of entries. If this occurs, coaches will be notified of the decision and it will be posted on the CCAC Web site by Tuesday, December 1, 2015. AWARDS/SCORING: Medals will be awarded for places 1 through 3 and ribbons for places 4 through 8 in all events. Heat winner ribbons will be awarded in all 10 & Under events. There will be no team scores. Disabled Swimmers: Disabled swimmers are welcome and should complete the attached disability form as well as notifying the Meet Director and Meet Referee of special needs.

2015 Jingle Bell Classic Page 3 of 5 LIABILTY/RELEASE: In granting this sanction it is understood and agreed that, USA Swimming, Inc., Georgia Swimming, Inc., and Carpet Capital Aquatics Club shall be held harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injury to anyone during the conduct of this event. Acceptance of this policy is evidenced by entry into this meet. WAIVER, ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND LIABILITY RELEASE: (This form MUST accompany Meet Entry) I, the undersigned coach or team representative, verify that all of the swimmers and coaches listed on the enclosed entry are registered with USA Swimming. I also acknowledge that I am familiar with the rules of USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming, Inc. regarding warm-up procedures and meet safety guidelines, and that I shall be responsible for the compliance of my team s swimmers with those rules during this meet. The Carpet Capital Club and the City of Dalton, Georgia Swimming, Inc. and USA Swimming, their agents, officers, representatives, employees and coaches shall be free from any liability or claim for damages for any and all injuries, illnesses or damage to valuables which may be sustained at this meet or while in transit to and from this meet. I also acknowledge that by entering this meet, I am granting permission for the names of any or all of my team s swimmers to be published on the internet in the form of Psych Sheets, Meet Results or any other documents associated with the running of this meet. I have reviewed RULE 302.4 FALSE REGISTRATION and understand that GA Swimming probably will issue a fine of up to $100.00 per event against a member coach or a member club submitting a meet entry which indicates a swimmer is registered with USA swimming when that swimmer or the listed club is not properly registered.
