BALTIMORE ORIOLES GAME NOTES ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS 333 WEST CAMDEN STREET BALTIMORE, MD 21201 MONDAY, MAY 28, 2018 GAME #54 HOME GAME #24 BALTIMORE ORIOLES (17-36) vs. WASHINGTON NATIONALS (29-22) RHP Alex Cobb (1-6, 7.32) vs. LHP Gio Gonzalez (5-2, 2.38) WHAT A LONG, STRANGE TRIP IT S BEEN: The Orioles return home today from an 11-day, 11-game road trip that included stops at Boston (1-3), Chicago-AL (2-2), and Tampa Bay (1-2)...It marked the O s longest road trip of the season...the fi rst game of the road trip (May 17 at BOS) was a makeup of the April 16 postponement...the Orioles have won seven of their last 11 games at Oriole Park...Entering play today, the Orioles are tied with the Minnesota Twins for the fewest home games played in the American League (23)...Their 35 home runs hit at Oriole Park rank sixth-most in the AL and seventh-most in the majors at home. HONORING FALLEN HEROES: All Orioles uniformed personnel will wear jerseys featuring green accents, along with camoufl age-designed caps...the jerseys and caps feature fi ve stars to represent the fi ve branches of the U.S. Armed Forces...The authenticated, gameworn, autographed jerseys and caps worn at home on Memorial Day will be auctioned at www.orioles.com/auctions to benefi t the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation...The Orioles also wore a road gray version of the jersey over the weekend while visiting the Tampa Bay Rays. DOUBLE DARE: LF Trey Mancini notched two outfi eld assists in the bottom of the fi fth inning on May 21 at Chicago...According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Mancini is one of just two players in Orioles history (since 1954) with two outfi eld assists in the same inning (also LF Don Buford on June 25, 1970 at Boston in the fi rst inning)...according to STATS, LLC., the last player in the majors with two outfi eld assists in the same inning was LF José Osuna of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who did so on July 6, 2017 at Philadelphia in the second inning...
