Golf Results

Congratulations to Vickee Lynch who took out Tuesday s ladies competition with a solid score of 33 points given the tough conditions. Gladys Wong hit am excellent shot in to claim the NTP on the 2nd hole. Dave Warrack had his best round in a long time, posting an outstanding score of 64 to take out Wednesday s A grade stroke competition. Terry Moore, wearing his Maui Jim sunglasses, took out B grade with 67 while Lakeview Restaurants own Arthur Dimitriou, who just changed from a Scotty Cameron to a Taylormade Spider putter, won C grade with a score of 67. Near perfect weather conditions for this time of the year greeted all players for Saturday s stableford competition and the scores certainly reflected. Steele Denman, Mark Hunt, and Steve Sourbutts took out their respective grades with excellent scores of 42, 40 and 37. Jordan Hubber won the Pro Pin on the 6th hole. A grand total of 106 entrants took part in Sunday s stableford competition. Bill Matthews just held of Zack Taipi, who was fresh of his first lesson with DV the day before, with 41 points. Alexander Boike won B grade with 39 points while Kurt Bansagi won C grade with an amazing score of 43 points. Jeanette Adlington, who took some convincing to part take in the Pro Pin by Golf Shop staff, won the Pro Pin on the 2nd hole winning herself a fantastic $115! Last Monday s Vets was as competitive as its been for some time, with a 3-way tie at the top of the leader board. Range Targets

How good do the new 110m and 120m targets look at the range! Throw in the artificial green as laid by Barry Vincent, and the incremental improvement programme continues to deliver! We ll be reviewing and improving the chipping green in the next month, and will advise of our plans and progress. You will have noticed we ve installed a couple of HBM (Hostile Buggy Mitigation) devices at the entrance to the range. This is to assist in traffic control. Note that carts are NOT allowed on the grassed area, as this damages the turf areas. Platinum

Volunteers

We re still looking for people who can assist with the next scheduled volunteer based attack on our course on the morning of Tuesday June 12th. If you may be available please send a note to Kacey at club@sanctuarylakesclub.com.au Further, we are looking for Members to assist in the starting and marshalling of weekend fields. If you are interested in assisting on a regular basis, please forward your name as above. Ideally, we have a number of people so we can spread the load. Attaboy badges to the merry band of vets who chipped in on Friday, and recovered a couple of thousand balls from the scrub at the range. Your efforts are appreciated! Thanks guys. Member Information Night So what s it all about? This is an opportunity to hear from your Club Captain Alex, new Superintendent Mark, and some general updates on the Club and membership from some of the Board and management. It will be a fairly informal evening where current and prospective members can get a feel of where the Club is going and future course focuses.
