SENECA FOOTBALL NEWSLETTER 2018 The greatest thing about being a head coach is getting a 14 year old boy who comes in as a Freshman and watching him turn into a young man over the 4 years he is your program. The hardest part is saying goodbye. We did just that at our 14th Annual End of Season Banquet. These 15 young men, as I have told them a bunch of times, DID IT RIGHT! They were hard workers, listened to coaches, got it done in the weight room, are leaders in our school and community, showed up ready to go every Monday no matter what Friday s outcome was, reached our goal of getting into the playoffs, believed in our Seneca Football Family and made me proud every single day. I love these guys and I wish them luck as they go and get ready for the rest of their lives! They all are going to have huge success in what ever they decide to do!

2018 Seneca Football Schedule Every 2 years our Football Schedule will change. The West Jersey Football League will do this based on size of school, comparable records from previous seasons and sometimes even location. This year we will be in a division with Cumberland, Cherry Hill East, Cherry Hill West, Pennsauken & Triton. When it comes to playoffs we will continue to be in Group III. Somethings that are new in 2018; if you don t make the playoffs you can play two conciliation games week 8 and week 9. Even if you make the playoffs and lose your first game you can still play a conciliation game the week after. The Sectional State Championship will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. If you win you play a Bowl Game (South Group III Champion vs Central Group III Champion) the first weekend in December!

Seneca Players Playing At Next Level 2017 Seneca Seniors Playing Football At Next Level Cole England Pace University John Murphy Alvernia University Drew Hastie TBA Dan Kurp TBA Mike Maus TBA The College Recruiting Process I get asked a lot of what to do (as a parent) when it comes to getting into college and playing a sport. Here are some things: 1. Grades #1, many kids who have the potential miss out because they don t meet the Universities requirements with GPA in Core Courses & SAT/ACT Scores. 2. Get great at what you do. You have to stand out. Work hard, practice, lift, speed, size, explosive power. 3. Get Recognized HUDL we send film out of every player who wants to play at the next level. Hudl is how we video games, make highlights & send to recruiters. You have to show you can play at their level on film. 4. Visit with Coaches: we have about 40 Colleges come to Seneca & talk with our kids at the end of every season. Colleges that range from Pitt, Rutgers & Temple to TCNJ & Rowan. Most of the schools to the right come every year looking for players. 5. GO TO A HS COMBINE now a days how kids do at a combine (40 times, Vertical Leaps, Agility etc.) can help get you recognized before the start of a season!

This will be our 14th one time sure does fly. This camp is a full football instructional camp, our goal is to get every one a little better at the techniques and fundamentals that deal with Football! It is also a great springboard to the season that will be less then a month away when the camp is over. We also incorporate Speed & Explosive Power Exercises & Drills. We will have an instructor teaching all kids proper form running & speed techniques. Now until April 1st we are running an Early Bird Special - if you register before April 1 you will get $25 off.

Sorry if you are not an Eagles Fan :) If you are what a memory that was made for all of us! I got to make that memory with my wife, my kids, my mom & dad, my sister, my niece, my dogs and some of my closest friends!
