The Family Ticket/Passes and the Two-Day Passes can be pre-purchased during the week preceding the 2018 show at the Secretary s Office at the Moruya Showground. NOTICE TO ALL COMPETITIORS As per previous years, there will be motorbike events held in the rodeo arena. These competitors / motorbikes do not have contact with horses. No motorbikes will be ridden through the showground. There will be no firework displays at this show. RULES The Eurobodalla District Show Society Inc. accepts NO responsibility what so ever for any accidents, injuries or damages of any kind that may occur in connection with this event. People are NOT permitted in the ring whilst competition is in progress, with the exception of stewards, judges and competitors. Judges for each event will be released via our Facebook page and website in January 2018. CAMPING There are a number of yards available, each yard is $ 10.00 per night. Due to reconfiguration of the showground layout, historical campsites will be voided. Allocation of campsites will be determined by Amber Pollard. Camping fees of $ 10.00 per night per vehicle will be collected at your camp site. Paid camping signs will be distributed and must be displayed on your windscreen of your vehicle. One vehicle (truck or car and float) only per camp within grounds. No horses to be yarded in rodeo yards without permission from the Ring Secretary s Office. YARDS and CAMPING SPACE will be allocated by Amber Pollard on 0404 725 055 and as per electric fencing guidelines. No areas to be roped off in advance without permission. INDEMNITY AND ENTRIES All competitors, no exceptions, must complete and sign an indemnity form prior to competing. (Indemnity forms for competitors under 18 years of age must be signed by a parent or guardian). Arm bands will be issued upon receipt of signed Indemnity Form and must be worn throughout the competition. All event entries to be paid at Ring Secretary s Office. The Ring Secretary s Office will be open from 4 pm on Friday. All entries close one hour before scheduled commencement time. Any competitor who removes a barrier and rides his/her horse through the crowd is responsible for any injuries caused by his/her horse if there is an accident. SHOW JUMPING Show jumping events are conducted under EFA rules. EFA performance cards must be signed by Judge for all official classes. Mrs Kirsty McPaul is the course builder. Judges for show jumping events will be released via our Facebook page and website in January 2018. 3

RULES - continued ALL RING EVENTS Competitors should be suitably attired. All competitors under 18 years of age must wear approved hard hat and footwear. Sporting events will be run as timed events. Names to be nominated at Ring Secretary s Office one hour prior to commencement of events. All protests must be made in writing within one hour of the class being run and must be accompanied by $ 50.00 Horses must be supervised and under control at all times. Horses with unruly behaviour at the Judge s discretion may be disqualified from the class. The organising committee reserves the right to vary/delete classes from the program at any time. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry to our Show. Drug testing may be carried out at this show. Any competitor, exhibitor, owner found to have breached the ASC Disputes and Disciplinary Rules will be investigated by the Disputes and Disciplinary Committee and dealt with accordingly. Judges for hack events will be released via our Facebook page and website in January 2018. STALLIONS DOGS Stallions NOT permitted in hack classes (with the exception of the ASH Ring). Colts and Stallions MUST BE Bitted or Chained at all times in the ring. Colts and Stallions must be double-tied at campsite. Appropriate supervision must be given to handlers under 18 years of age. No dogs allowed in show ring. Dogs must be left at camp tied up. Dogs must be on a leash and escorted to Dog High Jump event or Pet Show. 4

RULES - continued ELECTRIC FENCING Is permitted within a designated area. All electric fence users, must camp within the designated area and comply with the EDSS s risk assessment process. A risk assessment must be completed for each competitor using electrical fencing for yards. Forms must be signed and will be available from the Ring Secretary s Office. This is a requirement of the Agricultural Societies Council and SLE Worldwide Australia Pty Ltd. NO EXCEPTIONS. 5

MISCELLANEOUS ISSUES Horse Measuring: No official measuring will take place at the show, but, if a question about height arises, proof of height may be required. In the absence of proof, a decision will be at the absolute discretion of the Ring Master or Chief Steward. Breed Registration: Registration documents for horses in breed classes must be produced when required by a Steward. Attire: Competitors must be appropriately attired for the competition in which they are competing. Helmets: Every rider is encouraged to wear a safety helmet compliant with the current Australian Standard. Riders under 18 years must wear such a helmet. Footwear: All competitors must wear appropriate footwear when leading or riding a horse. When riding, the footwear must enable removal of the foot from the stirrup. Cruelty: Persons who are considered by the Ringmaster or Chief Steward to be abusive or cruel to a horse will be expelled from the ground. No horse will be permitted to compete if, in the opinion of the Ringmaster or Chief Steward, it is in poor health or condition. 6
