Scare Crow Festival From the Editor... Dear Member, Now that the weather has co operated and we finally have some snow it's time to ski! President's Day has come and gone and our Annual Trip to Stowe is coming up this weekend. The CT Ski Council On Snow Weekend is the follow weekend at Sugarbush beginning March 4th. Our Aspen/Snowmass trip is leaving March 12th with over 30 members Our Spring skiing trip to Killington is April 1 3. Click here for info. Don't forget we have three more bus trips scheduled. Weekly meetings continue as usual on Thursday's at 7:30 unless noted in red. It's a great place to meet with your fe skiers. Come down and socialize. March 3rd at 7:00 we are having a painting party. March 10th, at 7:00 we are having the Annual Pizza and Club Race Awards Night. Since the last newsletter we have had many activities. The Holiday Party was a huge success with over 60 member attendance. Dinner and a visit by Santa were enjoyed by all.
I think Santa is drinking a Bud. Holiday Dinner Our trip to Bormio, Italy was an excellent time with great skiing, food, and activities. Although we didn't have any fres snow the 6,000' vertical slopes were very well groomed and FAST! We did a snow cat dinner trip on the mountain w wine, dinner, and dancing. Several members took up the offer for a thrilling ride down in the snow cat front basket. W did a day trip to St. Moritz and got to spend two extra days in Milan because of the big snow storm that cancelled our flight home. we got to meet a lot our new members including the "Naughty Nine Ladies" from the Norwich area. ST Moritz Adventure Our January members night of Paperbag Wine Tasting was a fun night. We voted on the best white and red. The be white was Borealis White Table wine and the best red was "$2 Buck Chuck" Cabernet Sauvignon from Trader Joes which shows our members have great taste. And here are the winners. The Winners! Also in January was our Club Race. Thanks to Sharon Mann and everyone else for organizing and attending this ev Prizes will be awarded at the Annual Pizza Night on March 10th.

Although we have not had much snow in the east the mountains are making snow a conditions up north are getting pretty good. Because of the slow start the mountains are offering exceptional deals. I suggest you go on line to the individ mountains and look for deals. Also, our club purchased extra bulk lift tickets to several mountains so watch you emails if you are interested in purchasing l tickets at the bulk ticket price. The bus trips of the season are going well. Our next bus trip is this Sunday to Stratton, March 13th to Bromley, and March 1 for the Annual Tailgate Party at Okemo. The club trip to Bormio Italy was enjoyed by the 43 people who went. We had great food, skiing, and two extra days in Milan because of the snow at JFK. wasn't so lucky. I broke my humerus on the last run down on the last day and will be out of commission for the rest of the season. Our Stowe weekend is t weekend and Killington is coming up April 1 3.
