On Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th, all full year dance classes will be showcasing their work. The performances are graded and mandatory for all dancers enrolled in full year dance classes. In this packet you will find extremely important details regarding: 1. MANDATORY AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSALS 2. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 3. TICKET INFORMATION AND SALE DATES INCLUDES Papers to Fill Out & Return by March 2nd 4. CRUCIAL TIMES-DRESS REHEARSAL AND SHOW NIGHTS MANDATORY AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL SCHEDULE- PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY In this packet you will find a schedule of additional mandatory rehearsal each full year dance class will have in MARCH/APRIL. This is a crucial time period for the performance and it is extremely important that every dancer attend ALL listed rehearsals. Please take time to reschedule any conflicts so your dancer can be in attendance the ENTIRE rehearsal. Dancers will not be allowed to leave rehearsal early. Also, notifications regarding TBA rehearsal will be sent home one week prior to rehearsal. In the performance world, TBA means write the rehearsal down as if you have rehearsal and wait to be notified. In the past, dancers have been cut from sections of the dance pieces or entirely removed because they weren t in attendance for in school and/or after school rehearsals. We need 100% attendance for every dancer to be included and feel successful in their performance endeavor. Please take time to CAREFULLY schedule the month of MARCH/APRIL in your family calendar so that every performer can feel successful. Doctor/dentist appointments and the like must not conflict with the times of your child s daily dance class or their scheduled after school rehearsals If your dancer is ill, please let Claire know that day as soon as possible, by calling the da Vinci main office or emailing. The Dance Department REQUIRES students to be in attendance at the Dress Rehearsals Thursday, April 26th.
