About the O wner driver hailing from Los Angeles, Zak spent more than 10 years racing in a variety of championships in the US and Europe. His racing career highlights include second-place category finishes at world-renowned sports car endurance races the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Both races were aboard factory-assisted Porsches. A win at the 2006 Britcar 24-Hour endurance race at Silverstone came in a BMW. He has won multiple open-wheel and sports car events in North America and Europe. After a hiatus from racing to focus on JMI, he returned to the sport in 2005 and collected race wins in the North American Ferrari F430 Challenge Series from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, in partnership with long-time racing team-mate Richard Dean, Zak launched United Autosports; an American-owned, UK-based international sports car team. United Autosports has been active in the FIA GT3 European Championship, Blancpain Endurance Series, British GT, Grand-Am Rolex Series, the American Le Mans Series, Legends of Motorsport and in 2014 will enter the British Touring Car Championship. Ask Zak Brown where he lives and his answer is sincere, truthful and certainly not flippant, Most of my time is spent in the air. That simple statement epitomises Zak s hectic life. Since retiring from professional racing, he s become known worldwide as an entrepreneur, a leader, innovator, dealmaker, and increasingly, an influencer of all things commercial in the global motorsports industry. Throughout his racing career, Zak studied the business side of motorsports with a special focus on what worked best for sponsors and marketers. After the success of securing two major sponsors with the team for which he raced, Zak discovered a gap in the industry. He transitioned from his full-time professional racing career to launch Just Marketing International in 1995. His unique industry niche is now, through JMI, representing corporate clients within the complex global world of motorsports marketing. Zak is the Founder and CEO of Just Marketing International (JMI), the largest global motorsports-exclusive marketing agency. JMI manages more than $300 million of client sponsorship annually in all forms of global motorsports. Under Zak s leadership the agency has earned its esteemed reputation by placing more team primary sponsorships, track and event entitlements, league official status, series naming rights, and driver endorsements across more racing series than any other agency. In many ways, the growth of JMI parallels Zak s history. A unique aspect of his business career is that his entrance into motorsports marketing started from behind the wheel. A former professional racing Zak has been recognised globally for his contributions and impact on the motorsports industry, including being recognized as one of the most powerful influences in Formula One and NASCAR. He is a three-time winner of Street & Smith s Forty Under 40 and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame. This influence has resulted in Zak being a sought-after speaker and authority in all areas of global motorsport sponsorship. Zak s road transport includes a Maserati Grand Cabrio and a Range Rover, along with his 1955 Austin Healey 100M, a 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA, a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC and a 1998 Mercedes CLK GTR classic cars. Zak s most frequent mode of transport is his Citation 2 jet. 5

United Autosports is a global racing team that made its debut in 2010. The Anglo-American team is co-owned by the British racer Richard Dean and the American entrepreneur Zak Brown, who is also founder and CEO of JMI, the largest global motorsports marketing agency. The race team is led and managed on a day to day basis by Richard Dean. The team is highly experienced in all forms of global motorsports and has committed the necessary human and financial resources for success. Zak s motorsports insider knowledge, access and influence were immediately displayed at the team s launch event, when Bernie Ecclestone, President and CEO of Formula One Management, and many other leading motorsport dignitaries attended. The team have entered prestigious races all around the world, with drivers such as Indy 500 race winner Eddie Cheever Jr. and ex Formula One driver Mark Blundell. In 2011, the team scored their first race win with Mike Guasch and Matt Bell in an Audi R8 LMS at Snetterton. The following year, the team scored more wins with their McLaren MP4-12C GT3, including victory at the final round of the British GT Championship at Donington Park for Zak and his team-mate Alvaro Parente. In 2013, United Autosports won their first championship with Jim and Glynn Geddie clinching the European Supercar Challenge in their McLaren MP4-12C GT3. The team also came second in the British GT Championship with Mark Patterson and Matt Bell, narrowly missing out on the title by 1.5 points. In 2014, the team will take on their biggest challenge yet by entering the British Touring Car Championship with two Toyota Avensis touring cars for James Cole and Glynn Geddie. They will also be challenging for the British GT Championship win once again, with Mark Patterson and Matt Bell in their Audi R8 LMS ultra. The team also take on the Ginetta GT4 Supercup with Luke Davenport in a Ginetta G55. This year will also include a huge range of historic events around Europe and America featuring Zak s vast range of Race Cars of Distinction. 7

Legends of Motorsports Historic Motorsports Productions (HMP) is a business partnership dedicated to staging premium historic racing events and related lifestyle experiences under the Legends of Motorsports brand at premier North American venues. Legends of Motorsports events are celebrations of amazing people, amazing cars and the appreciation of life well-lived. Whether you are a hardcore follower of historic racing or a first-time attendee to an motor race, Legends of Motorsports events are designed to create smiles, memories and an insatiable desire to return. The philosophy and approach is simple: retain all that is good about contemporary historic racing events and enhance them by making them dramatically more enjoyable for fans and participants alike. For the public, this translates to events that are imaginative and well-presented. For participants, it is an elevation of the beloved sport through a markedly higher level of customer service. These differences include minimising inconveniences, increasing track time and maintaining an environment that is equally comfortable and stylish. Based in Zionsville, Indiana, HMP s principal owners are avid historic racers and businessmen, Zak Brown and Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal.
