You are welcome to watch from those providing that the teacher is able to move freely and the children in the lessons are not distracted. Shoes are not permitted on poolside. We will be providing blue overshoes or you can take your shoes off. Please do not allow children to wander around the poolside at any time. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of any children they bring at all times. Saturdays: Enter through the entrance/exit door from Covington Street. We have the pool from 1.15pm-2.15pm for lessons. We should be able to access the premises slightly earlier to get changed. Those swimmers who are at 1.15pm, please wait outside until Zoe, Keely and Emily arrive. At 2.15pm, we need to be prompt in getting out of the water as there is another group coming in for 2.25pm. We ask that children get changed quickly and have a shower at home as to not impose on the next groups time. There isn t really a proper viewing area as such. The cubicles are on poolside. You are welcome to watch from those providing that the teacher is able to move freely and the children in the lessons are not distracted. I am sure it will be easier to organise after the first session. Shoes are not permitted on poolside. We will be providing blue overshoes or you can take your shoes off. Please do not allow children to wander around the poolside at any time. Parent/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of any children they bring at all times. For our Stage 5 and Stage 6 swimmers, please use the deep end cubicles so that our Stage 3 and 4 yellow and green hats who start at 1.45pm will be able to use the ones closer to the entrance door. Other normal procedures and rules still apply. No Pushchairs/buggies on the poolside Please do not distract the teacher/swimmers No mobile phones/tablets allowed on poolside. Please go outside to use your phone If the fire alarm sounds, please exit the main door, the teachers will escort swimmers behind you. We will wait for the school caretaker to tell us when we may re-enter. May I advise you that your child has their swimming costume underneath their clothes to allow for quick changing at the start.

WATER WIZARDS SWIM SCHOOL LTD GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS This agreement supersedes any other version prior to May 2016 All parents/guardians, swimmers and other visitors to Water Wizards swimming lessons must read and adhere to these general terms and conditions and any other pool specific rules of Water Wizards Swim School. Your attendance at our lessons is acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions without exception. Individual pools will have their own rules of attendance and must be read and accepted in addition to these. The objects of Water Wizards Swim School shall be the teaching, development and practice of swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, lifesaving and water polo for its members. 1. All visitors to the facility should remove outdoor footwear before going into the changing rooms. All parents and spectators must sit quietly on the poolside spectator area and remain behind the barrier. Parents are not permitted to walk on poolside. 2. Only children participating in swimming lessons are permitted to go on to poolside and no swimmer should enter on to poolside without a member of Water Wizards Swim School staff being already present. Children who are swimming in the next lesson must wait until 5 minutes before their lesson starts before coming on to poolside. 3. In the interests of safety all visitors to the swimming pool must wait in the changing rooms until the swimming teacher opens the gates/door. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of any children they bring at all times inside and outside the pool building before and after their lessons. Children should always be under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian and never be left unattended. 4. Please familiarise yourself with any safety notices, rules and fire procedures (including fire escapes) on your first visit to any pool. Water Wizards Swim School can only be responsible for children during their swimming lesson and the parent/guardian is responsible at all other times. 5. We reserve the right to request that your child should be removed from classes without refund should they persistently disrupt, or should they be seen to be putting themselves or anyone else at risk during the class. 6. Please inform staff of any health problems such as asthma at the time of enrolment or as and when they arise. You are fully responsible for ensuring your child is fit and healthy to attend classes. Any medication required during the lesson should be made available on the poolside. 7. Please ensure your child uses the toilet before the lesson and has their towel on poolside in case of fire. 8. Parents MUST REMAIN at the pool for the duration of their child s swimming lesson unless previous arrangements have been made and confirmed in writing via email. 9. We ask that you do not distract teachers or swimmers during lessons unless it s absolutely necessary. The teacher will deal with children who need assistance unless he/she needs parental help. If this is the case, the teacher will clearly signal you over. Spectators must not try to instruct or communicate with swimmers as it distracts both the teacher and the child.

10. Under no circumstances should parents approach instructors while teaching unless it s an emergency situation. We understand you may have queries and we encourage good communication however, it must be done at an appropriate time. Teachers are responsible for the safety of children in their classes and are constantly assessing for danger and will not be able to talk on poolside. If you wish to speak about your child s swimming progress etc. please contact Zoe on 01604 461529 Mobile 07858 306584 or email zoe@swimwithwaterwizards.com. 11. Children participating in swimming lessons must wear the appropriately coloured swimming hat for that class. Children who do not have a hat will be requested to purchase another one or borrow a spare hat for that week. If a child forgets their hat two weeks in a row they will be required to purchase a new one. 12. Water Wizards Swim School recognises the responsibility for safeguarding children belongs to ALL those who work directly with, or have responsibility for, children at Water Wizards Swim School. We are committed to providing an environment in which all children and young people participating in activities have a safe and positive experience. In order to achieve this we have adopt and implement the policies and procedures in "Wavepower" (the latest Amateur Swimming Association child safeguarding policies and procedures publication) in full. The policies are available for all members to view at any time on our website swimwithwaterwizards.com 13. Please be aware that in order for our teachers/helpers to properly execute lessons they will sometimes need to physically handle children in a professional manner to provide support in the water and to convey correct stroke techniques. 14. It has come to the attention of the ASA that persons in England unconnected to the sport have been taking photos and videos of swimmers for illicit use. Although parents may use these devices in good faith, the law protects children from the possibility of illicit images and video being taken and we ask that all such devices are switched off before entering the pool building. Please do not use mobile phones, tablets, laptops, cameras or any other such devices while attending swimming lessons with Water Wizards Swim School. 15. Whilst your child is participating in swimming lessons, no jewellery or watches are to be worn. Ears that are newly pierced and medical bracelets are the only exceptions to this rule. 16. Please ensure that your child has appropriate swimwear. Long, baggy shorts with pockets are not permitted to be worn as they restrict the kick. Please ensure that boys wear tight shorts/jammers and girl s costumes are tight fitting one piece suits with no skirts. 17. Pushchairs and buggies are not allowed in the changing rooms if it has been raining or snowing outside. 18. Men are not allowed to use the female changing rooms to change girls for swimming. 19. Parents are asked not to give their children a meal 1 hour before swimming as this could result in the child suffering cramp and sickness. 20. If any child withdraws from a course after being accepted, monetary refunds will NOT be given unless withdrawal is through medical reasons, where a Doctor s note is required. All requests for cancellations or refunds need to be made in writing, and sent via email. A 15% administration fee will be deducted from ALL refunds to cover our costs. 21. We are unable to offer any refund or discount for classes missed by your child for reasons of holiday, short term sickness or social engagements etc. unless in exceptional circumstances. We may offer alternative lesson time when spaces are available to compensate for the lessons missed but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. 22. In the unusual event of a pool closure we will offer an alternative swim date or swim venue only (subject to availability). No monetary refunds will be given in any circumstances. Where possible a make-up lesson will be offered and, in some circumstances non-transferable credit notes may be given in lieu of payment for future lessons. In an instance where a pupil is not returning to our classes for a further lesson they will be afforded a make-up lesson only and will not receive a monetary refund.

23. In the unusual event of a pool closure every effort will be made to make you aware via text, email or using our website/facebook page - it is your responsibility to check lessons are going ahead as planned for each session. 24. Spaces are limited per class and will be issued on a first come first served basis. Your child will not be enrolled/re-enrolled onto any class until you have paid in full either by cash or internet banking unless alternative arrangements have been made. Swimmers already having lessons with Water Wizards Swim School will have priority on places provided you re-book and pay on time. If we do not receive your payment by the due date, as advertised, then your child's place may be allocated to another person on the waiting list. 25. It is your responsibility to provide us with your up to date email address and contact number which allows us to inform you of any closures, provide news bulletins and updates. We respect your need for privacy and keep any information that you share with us in confidence. The information will be disclosed only to those members of Water Wizards Swim School for whom it is appropriate and relevant officers of the Amateur Swimming Association or British Swimming. 26. Glass bottles are not permitted in the pool building. 27. Please do not enter the school main site until 15 minutes before the swim school opens. You must also leave the premises no later than 10 minutes after the last lesson has finished. Water Wizards will be charged by the hour for anyone leaving late. 28. Water Wizards Swim School reserves the right to change or cancel a course at any time. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. 29. Please be aware of the whistle code at all times: One short blast teacher getting attention of a swimmer/spectator Three short blasts teacher entering water to carry out emergency rescue One long blast Clear the pool
