NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife Warm, Cool and Coldwater Fish Raised at and Stocked from the Hackettstown Hatchery in 2016 A total of 3,689,447 fish weighing a total of 28,404 pounds were raised at the Charles O. Hayford Hatchery by the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife in 2016. Fish are raised and stocked for the angling enjoyment of the public and paid for through license fees and Sportfish Restoration funds. Species included: Northern Pike, Muskellunge, Tiger Muskie, Walleye, Striped Bass Hybrid, Atlantic Landlocked Salmon, Channel Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Brown Bullhead, Golden Shiner, Bluegill Sunfish, Gambusia (Mosquito Fish) and Fathead Minnows. The tables below provide stocking information for each species. Sizes are in inches.
