Exhibitors will receive 1 Season sticker for 1-3 paid entries and 1 additional Season pass for 4 or more paid entries. Additional Season passes may be purchased. Additional Season stickers will NOT be sold or issued. The Season sticker is good for admission and parking for the driver on the fairgrounds proper. The Season pass is good for admission onto the grounds and parking in the satelite lots A, B, C, or D only. A $10 non-refundable entry fee per animal will be charged. 2. The show committee reserves the right to divide, combine or cancel classes as numbers of entries warrant. 62 Let's Do It! 9. All horses and mules six months or older, must have proof of negative Coggins test within 12 months of the show date (ie., dated after September 20, 2014). Copy must accompany entry form. 10. All animals exhibited in Section 1-5 must be registered with the appropriate breed association. You MUST send a copy of the registration papers with your entries, including Drum Horse Geldings with Breed Associations with the exception of Geldings and 2015 foals. 11. Youth exhibitors 18 years or older (as of January 1 of current year) may waive youth status and show as adults in hitch classes, but are not eligible for youth classes. 12. Youth may drive in any other team or multiple hitch classes. Must be accompanied by an experienced adult. Youth may not drive stallions. 13. No stallions can be shown by youth. 14. Any stallion not being shown under control will be excused from the ring and will have to be housed on the trailer or removed from the fairgrounds. 15. Entries close August 15, 2015. No late entries will be accepted. 16. All use of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Anyone found using these substances before, during, or after the show will forfeit all premiums and will be removed from the fairgrounds. 17. All classes will be judged by the Draft Horse and Mule Judge. 18. All premium checks will be mailed to exhibitors. Dress Codes: The dress codes apply to all Draft Horse and Mule exhibitors. Halter classes: Dress slacks, shirt or blouse, tie and hat optional. No blue or faded jeans. No T-shirts. Hitch classes: Gentlemen-dress slacks, coat, tie and hat are mandatory. NO blue or faded jeans. Ladies-formal dress or long skirt and blouse. Dress pantsuits are permitted. Judged at a walk and trot both ways of the ring. The 2015 Great Frederick Fair HORSE PULLING CONTEST Friday, September 18, 2015 -- 2 p.m. -- Equine Arena Superintendent - Robert Shirley Rules: 1 There will be two (2) classes: Lightweight (under 3,325 lbs.), Heavyweight (3,326 lbs. and up). 2 Teams will be weighed at the fairgrounds, Building 18 between 12-1:30 p.m. 3 Bring Coggins papers for each horse. Coggins test must be done within 12 months of the contest. (September 18, 2015) 4 National and Maryland State Horse Pulling Rules will be observed and enforced. 5 The contest begins at 2 p.m. with the Lightweight Class. 6 A $10.00 entry fee per team will be collected at the scales. 4th- $225.00, 5th - $200.00, 6th - $175.00, 7th - $150.00, 8th - $125.00, 9th - $105.00, 10th - $90.00, all others - $75.00 65 MODEL HORSE 2015 MODEL HORSE SHOW Friday, September 25, 2015 Equine Expo near Building 18 Pre-registration by September 23, 2015 Check-in and set-up begins at 1:30 p.m. Judging begins promptly at 2:30 p.m. Model Show Judges Visit www.thegreatfrederickfair.com for the entry form and additional information Rules: 1 Model horse show open to public youth 17 years and under. 2 Two rings will run concurrently. 3 One entry form per exhibitor, pre-entries are encouraged. Must be pre-entered 4 Open to Breyer and Peter Stone models. No plush or stuffed animals. 6 Exhibitors in performance and scenery display classes are to provide any props necessary. Each exhibitor will be allowed a 2 x 2 foot area in which to set up their individual display for judging. 7 Limit two models per class per exhibitor.
