Hull fabrication involves vacuumbagged lamination using epoxy resin instead of polyester. The process produces thinner, stronger, lighter GRP that won't absorb water, and it reduces hull weight by half. This unique process also produces strong but low-density PVC foam stringers, transversals, and balsa-cored bulkheads. Engine room access is concealed in the lower cockpit lounge seat, or the room can also be entered through the upper cockpit dropdown hatch. The large, distortion-free, curvedglass Taylor windshield panels provide uninhibited visibility astern as well as forward. The Cool Helm upper cockpit climate control system features eight defroster plenums under the windshield, four on the steering console, and two more near the portside L-lounge. An optional set of forward shorepower connections are available, mounted in the chain locker to make bowin docking an easy choice. General Layout This yacht offers great outdoor entertaining space and 8-10 people can be comfortable for day cruises. of conditions. The cabins below are perfect for a family of 4 to cruise in comfort for weeks at a time. The layout provides two staterooms with two heads and the main living, dining, and galley area is one open space providing for a much more open feel than most yachts of this size. Outdoor Space and Helm Area The helm and adjacent seating area and table have a nice view forward and to the sides through glass windows. The factory hardtop provides protection from the sun and weather and the space is air-conditioned. The front windows have vents so when you are cruising you have good airflow through the space. Aft of the helm and seating area there is a large outside seating area with a lift up table; perfect when you want some sun and a great place to be at sunset. The cockpit deck is large and the swim platform raises and lowers making launching the dinghy a snap. Galley & Dining Area As you come down the stairs from the helm area the Galley is to port. This is the area that is the furthest aft below decks and this is the most stable area underway. The Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer are on the aft wall and are very accessible from the bridge area as well as from the living spaces below. The sink and main working surface face forward to salon dining area so when working in the galley you will not be isolated from your family and friends. There is a 3 burner cook top, 1200 Watt microwave and lots of storage cabinets. Master Stateroom The Master Stateroom is forward and has large hanging lockers and storage drawers. The Master has its own head and shower accessed from the stateroom. There are port lights on the hull side and overhead hatches that can be opened to provide ventilation. When the stateroom door is open you see all the way through the yacht to the stairs that go up to the helm. There is a nice little table at the aft end of the bed. Starboard Guest Stateroom The Starboard guest stateroom has two nice bunks with a nightstand between them. There is a hanging locker and drawers. Hatches provide light and ventilation. This stateroom has a head forward that has access from the stateroom. This head also has access from the salon providing a day head for the yacht. Engine Room The engine room is accessible via a large hatch in the center of the area by the helm. This descends between the engines. The main breaker panel is right in front of you as you descend. All the equipment is very accesssable. The space is also well lit. You can access all the service points of the CAT 3406 main engines. Everything is well laid out and very accessible.
