Ali, namesake of the Lord of the Great Throne His eternal light 1 ا س م ي ذ ي ال ع رش الع ظ يم ع لي ا م ا ك نت ا ال ن ور ه اال ز ل يا Crowned by the Lord of Greatness With the crown of heavenly kingship and divine power 2 ا م ت و جا ت اجا م ن ال م ل ك وت وال ج ب ر وت م ن ذ ي الك ب ر ي اء س ن يا I swear an oath on the Lord of all the Worlds That you are Mohammad s wasi م ح م د ل لن ب ي ا ال ك نت م ا 3 ال ع ال م ني ب ر ب ق س ما و ص يا His brother, vizier, khalifa Honored son-in-law, devotee 4 و ا خا ل ه و م و از را و خ ل يف ة و ك ذ اك ص ه را م ك ر ما و و ل يا You climbed [Mohammad s] shoulders Surrounded by noble angles 5 و ل ق د ر ق يت ب غ ار ب ح ف ت ب ه ز م ر امل الئ ك ة ال ك ر ام ر ق يا You ascended the Ka ba, Baitullah il haraam Fully deserving of this high honor ح ر يا 6 و ط ل ع ت ف وق الك ع ب ة ال ب ي ت احل را - - م و ك ن ت ب الش ر ف الع ظ يم
You smashed the idols falsely placed there They came tumbling down 7 و ك س ر ت ا ص ن اما ن ص ب ن ض ال ل ة ه و يا اال له ب يت م ن ف ه وي ن His devotees will dwell in Paradise Forever enjoying its celestial fruits 8 ا ن اال ىل و ال و ه يف ال ف ر د و س ه م ي ج ن ون د ابا م ن ج ن اه ج ن يا Eternal bliss for a man who walks the straight path Revering his lofty station 9 ط وب ى ل م ر ء س ال ك يف ش ان ه ال ا ع لى ص ر اطا ل لر ش اد س و يا His enemies will inhabit Hell Burning in its fire for aeons ه م الن ار ا ه ل ع اد و ه اال ىل ا ن 11 الد ه ور ا ب د ب ه ا أ و ىل ص ل يا The man who demeans and the man who exaggerates Both have forged a lie 11 م ن ي ق ل ه ا و ي غ ل ف يه ف ا ن ه ق د ج اء ش يئا ال م ر اء ف ر يا Do not worship Satan in your hatred of Ali Satan disobeyed the Merciful ف ال الش ي ط ان ت ع ب د وا يف ب غ ض ه ال 12 ك ان ل لر ح من ش ي ط ان ع ص يا
He, yes he, is Allah s light (noor-eilahi) That shone brightly in Adam s face 13 ه ذا ه و الن ور اإلهل ي ال ذي م ض يا ان ار ق د آد م يف و ج ه He, yes he, is the Great Report (naba -e-azeem) That our Nabi was informed about ن ب ب ذ اك ال ع ظ يم الن ب أ ه و ه ذا 14 ج ل اهلل ن ب ي أن ا ن ب يا Mohammad performed Nass on him In Ghadir-e-Khumm A Nass as clear as day 15 ن ص الن ب ي ع ل ي ه ن صا و اض حا ب غ د ي ر خ م ك الن ه ار ج لي ا Fatema Zahra was his true match As he was hers 16 ك ان ت ل ه الز ه ر اء خ ي ر ك ف ي ة ح ق ا و ك ان ل ها ك ذ اك ك ف يا The Lord would not have unrolled the earth If not for him, nor raised up the skies 17 ل و اله ل م ي ط ح األ ر اض ي رب ها س م يا وي ب ن ي ر ف ع و ل م ك ال The Surat of Did it come? (Hal Ata) Did it come in another s praise? Do you see a noble warrior his equal? اتى ه ل س و اه ف ي م ن ا تى ا ف ه ل 18 ك ان ش ر و اه ف تى ا ف ه ل ر ض يا
Do you see his peer among the Prophet s Companions In goodness, shining virtues, and piety? 19 ا ف ه ل ت ر ى ب ي ن الص ح اب ة م ث ل ه ب ر ا ح و ى غ ر ر اخل ال ل ت ق يا Do you see another complaintreceiver Who answers the call of the distressed? 21 ا ف ه ل س و اه م ش ت كى ي ش ك ي ل م ن ن اد اه م ن خ ل ق اال له ش ك يا If you wish for relief from calamity Call out, Ya Ali Madad! 21 ا ن ا ز ع ج ت ك م ل م ة ا و ك ر ب ة و ر ج و ت ت ن ف ي سا ف ن اد ع ل يا O lofty Mawla, O Amir of mumineen Give speedy succor to mumineen s cries for help امل ؤ م ن ي ا م ري ي ا امل ع ال ي ذ ا ي ا 22 امل ؤ م ن ني ص ر ي خ ا غ ث ن و ح يا O Saqi-ye-Kawthar! Give me a full cup to drink ال ك وث ر م ن ل و ل ي ه س اق يا ي ا 23 ب ف ض ل ك م ن ه اس ق ن ي خ ل د ر يا Triumphant is the mumin Who remembers Mawla Ali in the morning and night 24 ي ا ف و ز م ر ء م ؤ م ن ه و ي ذ ك ر ال م و ىل ع لي ا ب ك ر ة و ع ش يا
O Naseem breeze, carry my humble salaam To my Mawla in Ghari (=Najaf) 25 أن س ي م ب ل غ ب اخل ض و ع س ال م نا م و ىل اال ن ام ا ذ ا ب ل غ ت غ ر يا I am a devotee of Mustafa and Murtaza Of Zahra, Hasan and Husain 26 ل ل م ص ط ف ى و امل ر ت ض ى و اب ن ي ه م ا ال ح س ن ي ن و ل يا د م ت و الز ه ر اء Of the True Imams in their progeny The choicest portion of mankind 27 و ا ئ م ة ال ح ق الر ض ى م ن و ل د ه م م ن ق د أ ت و ا يف ال ع ال م ني ن ص يا May Allah s salawaat encompass the Prophet, and Haidar, and their progeny As long as Haqq remains exalted (Ali) 28 ص ل ى اال له ع لى الن ب ي و ح ي د ر و ب ن ي ه م ا م ا ال ح ق د ام ع ل يا
