General Rules and Regulations Eligibility: Show open to any youth 21 years of age and younger as of January 1, 2018. Upon arrival, all exhibitors must check-in prior to weighing their animals. Health Requirements: Health certificates will only be required for out-of-state animals. Out-ofstate animals must be individually list and identified on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, either by registration number, premises ID or Scrapie ear tag. Out-of-state animals will be required to obtain a Health Certificate & Entry Permit # from the Animal Health Division, Oregon Department of Agriculture (Phone: 503-986-4680). *Note: All livestock (both in and out-of-state) may be subject to veterinary inspection if show management deems necessary. Cattle Health Requirements: All female cattle four months or older must have been calf hood vaccinated against brucellosis and must have a legible vaccination tattoo. Oregon does not accept Mature Vaccinated cattle. If coming from a state with less than FREE status in the state/federal brucellosis and tuberculosis eradication programs, testing may be required. All cattle entered must be identified by their individual ear tag or tattoo number. Sheep/Goat Health Requirements: All individual sheep exhibited (both Oregon and out-of-state origin) must have a Premises ID or Scrapie Ear Tag issued through the USDA Scrapie Eradication Program. For additional information, contact the USDA (APHIS) veterinary offices (1-866-873-2824). All sheep entries will be given special scrutiny for absence of Club Lamb Fungus. No unsightly conditions, active Club Lamb Fungus or Sore Mouth will be tolerated or permitted. If any animal is disqualified for health issues, entire entry will be removed with no refund. Swine Health Requirements: Requirements for pseudorabies and brucellosis tests are based on official status of state or herd of origin. Swine exhibitors should practice caution and be aware of the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV). For more information, please visit: https://porkcdn.s3.amazonaws.com/sites/all/files/documents/recommendexhibitor.pdf Brand Inspection: Exhibitors must comply with the brand inspection laws covering movement of livestock. Within Oregon, a transportation slip is necessary. For livestock crossing any state line, a brand inspection certificate must accompany your livestock. Cattle: All heifers must be registered with their respective breed associations and be in the junior exhibitors name solely by May 1 st, 2018. Heifers must be born between September 1, 2016 and November 30, 2017. Registration papers (heifers) must be presented at check-in. Lambs and Goats: ALL lambs must be slick shorn before crossing the scale. A maximum weight limit will be enforced on jackpot lamb entries. Maximum weight for lambs is 160 lbs. Goats need to be clipped to 3/8. There are no breeding classes for lambs or goats. If you choose to show out of your trailer, then you are responsible for your own power (i.e. we highly recommend bringing a generator).
