2 ABOUT THE WARRIOR GAMES: The Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games were established in 2010 as a way to enhance the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, ill and injured service members and to expose them to adaptive sports. The 2018 Warrior Games will be held June 1 to June 9 at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Warrior Games are free and open to the public. Approximately 300 wounded, ill and injured service members representing teams from the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) will compete. The United Kingdom Armed Forces, Australian Defence Force and, for the first time in Warrior Games history, the Canadian Armed Forces will also compete in the Warrior Games. For these athletes, the Warrior Games is meant to serve as a powerful recovery tool and help build confidence, camaraderie and resiliency. Athletes will go head-to-head in 11 adaptive sports: archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field, wheelchair basketball and three new sports debuting this year: indoor rowing, powerlifting, and time trial cycling. They will engage in friendly competition and experience the healing power of sports. Select, Add Frame In the search bar, type Warrior Games 2018 Click on the border that contains the Warrior Games logo and blue smoke Select when to switch back to your previous profile picture Click Use as Profile Picture Note: Your profile picture is always public. Once a profile picture expires, it will still be visible in your profile pictures album.
