Bulletin 3 of 2018 FISU WUC Muaythai 23-29 July 2018 1. Flight Preparation When booking the flight to Thailand. It is high recommended that the delegates book the flight to Suvarnabhumi Airport and preferable to be arriving in the morning on 21st July 2018 due to the following reasons: - It is required by IFMA that all competitors weigh in during 7.00 am. 10.00 am. on 22nd July 2018. - The verification of the eligibility of the delegates MUST be accredited at the hotel upon arrival on 21st July by FISU CIC. In case the team is NOT able to have their eligibility accredited on 21st July due to late flights. The athletes will be allowed to weigh in on 22nd July with temporary AD card but after that the delegates MUST go through the accreditation process and pay the participation fee. 2. Registration I-Form It is recommended that the team do the registration on OAS as soon as possible. The OC NEED the number of ATHLETES, OFFICIALS with gender for hotel arrangement. Pattaya is a tourist city in which the hotels are normally fully booked for the whole year round. The hotel needs
confirmation of room reservation. Otherwise, we would like to ask your cooperation to send EMAIL to let us for your commitment of participation. Please remember, first registration on OAS, will be arranged to stay at the venue of competition hotel, Hard Rock Hotel http://pattaya.hardrockhotels.net/, the late registration will be arranged to The Season Pattaya. 4. VISA Application Details It is very important for each nationality check whether the participants need Visa entry to Thailand or not. If they need, please let Organizing Committee (OC) knows as quick as possible with the details of the participants do the OC can facilitate VISA applications appropriately. Please send this form to OC so that the process of requesting VISA can be done in advance. 6. Participation Fee & FISU Fee 1) The participation fee is 70 Euro/night/person (9 nights or actual number of staying) 2) FISU fee is 20 Euro / person/event for member of FISU but if nonmember is 40 Euro. For the teams which have submitted the Q Entry Form and the G Entry Form through the Accreditation System Online (OAS), the FISU will send an invoice to the NUSF to collect later. Once the money is wired to the OC Bank Account, please do send receipt or proof of payment to this email as soon as possible. And give the HOD the hard copy of receipt with him to show to our accountant when the whole amount is paid during Accreditation process. However, the remittance made through the bank, the team must be responsible to pay the tax not deducting from the amount of remittance which shows in the invoice. It is recommended that the fee be paid in Euro. Sample of Calculation: Japanese Delegaties 4 Athlets 1 Coach 9 nights* 70 Euro* 5 persons = 3150 Euros for participating fee 5* 20 Euro = 100 Euro for FISU fee.
Team which need INVOICE of deposit 25% payment, please do send details to the OC at your convenient time. 7. Accommodation As mentioned above; the hotel is very expensive and reluctant to give qouta the room to the OC without confirmation. At the meantime, the Hard Rock Hotel http://pattaya.hardrockhotels.net/ which is the main venue of competition is available ONLY 130 rooms. The exceeding number of delegates will be arranged at Season Hotel http://www.theseasonshotels.com/pattaya/main.php?ln=overview&lang=e N. Please do submit I Form to the OAS as soon as possible. First comes first serves. 8. Restrictions of Food Please inform the OC the restrictions of food such as Muslim food, vegetarian or any allergic problem so that the OC can be aware of it. 9. Document for Accreditation All athletes must present the following documents to International Control Committee (CIC) at the accreditation center in order to verify their entry qualification. a) Passport b) Eligibility form (or student certificate) signed/stamped by the participating university. ( Most of the document should be digitalized and upload on OAS) 10. Technical Officials Nomination and costs All international referees and judges shall be appointed jointly by IFMA and FISU. Travel expenses, accommodation, full board and the allowances according to the regulations of the IFMA for all international judges are borne by IFMA. Participating countries can bring their own Team Technical Officials (TTO) whom must be approved by IFMA. Their travel expenses, accommodation and full board will be covered by their relevant National Muaythai Federation. Remaining NTOs are appointed by IFMA and the Organising Committee will cover their travel expenses, accommodation and full board. Number of Technical Officials needed 12 ITOs/NTOs per ring.
11. Muaythai WUC Athlete Uniform In order to ensure that all athletes will be dressed in accordance with IFMA Rules & Regulations on competition attire, teams are encouraged to purchase the IFMA competition uniform which will feature the event logo. Each uniform set will consist of muaythai shorts, red singlet and blue singlet and 2 sets of iron-on country code letters. Each set will cost 60USD or 1,900THB. 12. Medical Insurance Please note that the athletes and team officials need to have a medical insurance covered during their stay in Chiang Mai. As a combat sport, the OC will also have a PA (Personal Accident) insurance covered the participants and responsible for first aid. However, hospitalization causes by natural illness is under the responsibility the participant upon the approval of concerned medical parties. 13. Pattaya Entertainment Pattaya is one of the most well-known destinations for tourists. There are variety places to experience in Pattaya. And we cannot deny that most visitors want to experience a night-life entertainments, especially an adult entertaining areas (surrounded the hotels) which attract many tourists to a pub, bar or massager lounge. However, this is one of our prime concerns; the Head of Delegation must be tough enough to take control of our young athletes not to do adventure in Pattaya s night entertainment too much. Spending too much time and money on night entertaining spots is another main issue to be aware of. For safety measure, the OC will do as much as we can to tighten the security for their safety while staying in Pattaya. 14. Security Measures in hotel & Public Area The OC will strengthen the security measures at the accommodation, the venue of competition and public areas by deploying the security officers on duty 24 hours. In this regards, the athletes MUST have their AD card with them at all time in order to identify themselves when asked by the officers.
