J i-5" Addendum "B'»**0N *> m Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse Dear Beth Cooper, It isalbert Rehanek, President of the Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association and Iam reaching out to the City of Brampton in regards to financial support of the upcoming 2011 Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse Provincial Tournament. This tournament is a 4 day affair that is held May 20th to the 23rd in Brampton and that hasover 128 teams playing and staying within the City of Brampton. That is over 2,500 athletes and their parents and siblings from Windsor, London, Ottawa and places in between. The Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association has successfully hosted the tournament at the Creditview and Sandalwood facility for the last two years. We have attempted to increase the exposure of the City, The BMLA and the Game of Lacrosse each year we have hosted the event. Last year we introduced event tenting (wedding tents) to the facility, which was a huge hit as it gave the facility the look of a very prestige's event. This came at a cost that was not budgeted for but because I understood the importance of the need for the drama of the landscape that these kids and parents were going to be spending the next 4 days at, I sponsored the $2,800 cost. This year I am asking that along with the portable tables and tents that they supplied per field that the City of Brampton helps with the cost of the event tenting. Iwould also like to request that Rogers TV attends the event to film the Provincial Final Games and thus Iwould require portable stands to be set up on specific fields and barriers to contain the public, even being able to charge for the events to help with the cost of televising the event. We could move these games to Chinguacousy Turf Field as a way to show case the new field and Brampton. We are hoping that the City believes that our endeavors to bring visitors to Brampton are worth an investment in the items mentioned above. You may contact me at anytime at 905-846-1261 or at president@bramptonlacrosse.com Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. JK> Addendum "A' '*** AS*^ Dear Beth Cooper, It is Albert Rehanek, President of the Brampton Minor Lacrosse Association and Iam reaching out to the City of Brampton in regards to financial support of the upcoming 19th Annual John McCauley Lacrosse Tournament. The Tournament is one of the most respected and attended tournaments in Ontario. We bring over 60 teams, 1,500 athletes and their parents and siblings into the city of Brampton for three days In June to celebrate the great Tradition of Lacrosse in Brampton. The tournament starts on Friday June 11th and ends Sunday June 13th and it also, so it happens, there is an underground movement in regards to a national event called "Lacrosse Day in Canada" on June 11th thatwe are tying into. We expect that this year's event will rival some of the bigger lacrosse events thru the year in Ontario. We are hoping that the City of Brampton would be willing to help the BMLA and support our long standing tournament with funding. We are creating a tournament book, that we estimate will cost $1,500 (after receiving sponsorships), that we will be distributing to all participants. We also have a major cost in paying our scorekeepers and timekeepersfor all the games. This cost will be at the $1,800 mark. We are hoping that the City believes that our endeavors to bring visitors to Brampton are worth an investment in the items mentioned above. You may contact me at anytime at 905-846-1261 or at president@bramptonlacrosse.com Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
