RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (21-20-9-2) host the Kootenay ICE (23-27-3-0) tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. In their last game, the Raiders staged a thirdperiod comeback to force overtime against the Regina Pats before falling 5-4 in the extra frame at the Brandt Centre. Brett Leason had the Raiders lone goal after 40 minutes as the team trailed 4-1. With 7:30 remaining in the third, Regan Nagy and Parker Kelly scored 15 seconds apart to spark the comeback. Kody McDonald s deflection in front of the net with 38 seconds remaining sent the game to overtime. Ian Scott made 35 in a losing effort for the Raiders. That streak is a new career high, eclipsing his four-game streak earlier this season. Over the last five games, the former Tri-City American has two goals and five assists. CRUSHING THE ICE: Justin Nachbaur has been an ICE killer for the Raiders this season. In his three games against Kootenay, the Raiders rookie leads the team with five points and has at least a point in all of those games. GIVING UP THE GOAL: The Raiders had their penalty kill streak ended on Saturday night in Regina at 23 times shorthanded. Prince Albert has the second-ranked penalty kill overall in the WHL at an 80.3 per cent kill rate. At home, the Raiders are still second place with an 84.6 per cent kill rate. COMING IN HOT: The Raiders have had a hot start to 2018, posting an 8-3-4 record. They have also earned at least a point in each of their last eight games en route to a 5-0-3 clip over that span. NEXT UP: The Raiders open a three-in-three weekend on Friday night in Swift Current against the Broncos at the Innovation Credit Union i-plex. Puck drop is 7 p.m. The next Raiders home game is on Sunday afternoon when the Raiders host those same Broncos. Game time is 4 p.m. Tickets are available at raiderhockey.com, the Raider Office, or by calling 306-764-5348.
