Welcome to the March 2018 Meeting The MG Car Club / European Motor Club of CNY March 2018 President s Message Well, March is in like a Lion so let s hope it follows the old saying and goes out like a Lamb, and hope it starts soon. With the Syracuse Motorama coming on March 24 th and 25 th it will be our first chance to get back in the swing of things to come for 2018. We would love to have you join us at the Great New York State Fairgrounds in the Center of Progress Building for the 1 st event of the year. Also if you are suffering from Cabin Fever, and who is not? Put this on your calendar, Saturday, April 14, 2018 The MG Car Club of Central New York soon to be The European Motor Club of Central New York in cooperation with Bella Domani Cruise In will be holding Cabin Fever Swing-into-Spring featuring the Music of Dan Elliot and the Monterey s. It is going to be and a Blast from the Past. We are hoping that night we will be able to officially announce our clubs new name. (See attached Flyer) At the board meeting last Tuesday there was a big surprise, I saw Big Foot steeling a piano, I even got a picture of him. You know, he looks a lot like Jimmy Hearn our Web- Master! We still need a little help with the new logo, give us your ideas and I hope Our Vice President will not be in attendance for the March meeting as he has escaped the grip of the frozen tundra to attend his son s wedding in Florida. Meeting Minutes European Motor Club of Central New York aka: MG Car Club of Central New York Date: February 6, 2018 At Barbagallo s Restaurant President- Rick Kunz: The meeting was called to order at 7 PM. Vice President-Bob Carbone: Secretary- Dave Winne: Charlie Di Angelo was kind enough to take over scribe duties for this meeting. Treasurer- Frank Gordnier: There is $5,128 in the treasury account. Frank is working on a budget line/ spending for the February spreadsheet. Membership-Pam Gordnier: Activities: Jamie Currier Dix: Jamie handed out the February activities sheet. Mike Mastracco discussed the upcoming Syracuse Motorama. He had flyers and information available. New Business: The Rescue Mission submitted a very large token check to our car club as thanks for the $800 donation that we made as a result of Eurocar 2017. A new and updated car club roster was handed out. New members were introduced. The Board meeting time has been changed to the third Tuesday of each month at the Piano and Organ Center in North Syracuse. Old Business: Peter Sanborn will be the coordinator for the Geezer Squad, a group of guys to help people out with projects. He explained the purpose and said it would help increase club involvement and new membership. New Logo- Members should submit their suggestions before the next membership meeting, when the new logo will be voted on. The Concours Event at the Antique Boat Museum will be on June 30 in Clayton. MG is the featured marque. Presentation: Rick Kunz gave an informative presentation Buying versus Leasing Your Next Car. 50/50: 50/50 Raffle - Sue Sanborn is the winner! The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 PM.
