Riding Club Rules of the Show 2018 1. The committee reserve the right to make changes to scheduled classes without prior notice. 2. All riders must wear hard hats to the approved BSI Standard. 3. All horses and ponies must be walked between the rings. 4. The Judges decision is final. 5. No horses or ponies under 4 years are to be shown ridden. 6. Stallions / colts may not be led / ridden by any juniors who have not attained their 16 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. 7. All rings start promptly and classes will run consecutively thereafter, unless otherwise stated. Please check! 8. No horses and ponies to be tethered on the showground. 9. No loose dogs, please keep them on their leads at all times. Please bag and bin their foul. 10. Objections may be logged with the secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the class finishing and a deposit of 20.00, refundable if the objection is upheld. It shall be a condition of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from any accidents what so ever. 11. Please see society rules for the different qualifiers. 12. The club championships will be decided on points for the same rider/pony or horse combination throughout the year. Riders must be members to be eligible for points (from the date of joining). Points are awarded 4, 3, 2, 1. 13. The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to the showground or class to any person or persons without prejudice. 14. Objectionable or abusive language around collecting rings will not be tolerated and entry to classes may be refused. 15. The committee reserves the right to measure any pony if so required. Life height certificates are not accepted. 16. All riders to be aged 3 years and over at 1 st January 2018. 17. Animal welfare standards must be maintained at all times. Failure to do so will result in being reported to welfare and removal from the club. 18. No BBQ s allowed on the field. Tilney St Lawrence Riding Club Become a member of the Riding Club and you can collect points for each placing you get 4 for 1 st, 3 for 2 nd, 2 for 3 rd, 1 for 4 th, you could be the Champion or Reserve for that class for the season, you can win an end of year trophy, which will be presented at our end of year presentation night.
RULES For Welsh Competitors No substitution/nomination of entries permitted. All exhibits must be registered in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Stud Book. Welsh Pony and Cob rules adhered to. The judges decision is final Objections must be lodged with the secretary within 10 minutes of the class with a deposit of 20 which will be returned if the objection is upheld. All competitors are strongly advised to provide their own third party insurance cover. Tilney RC accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury however caused. All stallions and colts 2 years old and over must be suitably bitted and led by a handler that has attained their 14 th birthday before January 2018. Anyone riding a horse or pony must wear a hard hat to comply with British Standard specification BSI with safety harness correctly and securely fitted. Please do not muck out horseboxes in the parking. Use skips provided. All dogs must be kept on a lead. No ponies to be left unattended whilst tied to horsebox/trailer. Foals accompanying mares must be at least 3 weeks old on day of show. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. No spurs allowed in ridden classes. An exhibitor must not knowingly exhibit an equine which has been bred, sold, leased or produced by the judge or his/her employer. From King s Lynn via A17: HOW TO FIND US Take the left turning, signed Walpole St Andrew (Market Lane). Continue along here for approximately 2 miles, the Show Ground is on the right hand side. From Boston/Spalding via A17: Continue along A17 past Sutton Bridge towards King s Lynn. Take the right turning signed Walpole St Andrew (Market Lane). Continue along here for approximately 2 miles, the Show Ground is on the right hand side. From Wisbech via A47: Take the A47 out of Wisbech towards King s Lynn. Follow onto dual carriageway and take first exit off dual carriageway. At top of slip road, turn right, following the road into Walpole Highway. In the village turn left into Mill Road (signed towards Walpole St Peter Church). Continue approximately 1.5 miles along Mill Road. Turn right into Chalk Road (narrow, winding lane but OK for boxes/trailers). Take third turn right also called Chalk Road and continue to the end. At the end turn left and the showground is directly in front of you.
