OXFORD CONCOURS D ETAT MANSFIELD COLLEGE SUNDAY 15 JULY 2018 INTRODUCTION VSCC Members have again been granted permission to use Mansfield College, Oxford, for a Social, Lunch and Desirability event. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival at 11.00am. The event allows members an opportunity to park, free of charge for the day, right in the centre of this historic city. You will have the opportunity to explore the streets and parks and, following the socialising in the sunshine (guaranteed!), judging will take place at NOON. The Concours is one not of Elegance or Poshness but of condition and originality, judged by all the participants and based on Which car I would most like to take home. There will be an engraved Tankard for the winner, plus a second one for the Ladies Choice (all very vintage!) An excellent, seated lunch will be served at 1.15pm in the wonderful College Chapel. Prizes will be awarded in the afternoon before departure for home at around 4.30pm; this allows about two hours to walk around Oxford and see some of the other colleges.
SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS Held under the General Regulations, of the Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Supplementary Regulations. 1. The Vintage Sports-Car Club Ltd will organise a Concours d Etat at Mansfield College, Oxford on Sunday 15 July 2018. 2. A Certificate of Exemption (Number: 107146) has been obtained from the MSA. 3. Only fully paid up members of the Vintage Sports-Car Club will be eligible to enter. Such members may enter more than one car. Vehicles must be driven into the college, no trailers are allowed (cars must be driven to the event). 4. All entrants must complete and sign the official entry form and return it to the VSCC office. 5. There will be a competition for the most covetable car, with an engraved tankard for the Winner and one for the Ladies Choice. 6. The cars will be parked in the main college quadrangle. Access will be from approx. 10.30am with judging from 11.30am onwards. Cars not present by noon may not be judged! 7. All drivers and passengers must sign on. 8. The judges (who will be all the participants) are appointed Judges of Fact for the purpose of deciding the relative standards of the entries. No protests will be entertained. 9. The event is open to cars made before 1 January 1941. Cars do not need to have a VSCC Buff Form. The maximum entry will be 25 cars and 65 people. 10. The entry list opens on publication of these regulations, and closes finally on 9 July. The entry fee is 35 PER PERSON which covers access, parking and lunch. Entries must be made on the official entry form and accompanied by the appropriate fee. Cheques must be made payable to the Vintage Sports-Car Club Ltd. Entries will be acknowledged by return. As numbers are limited entries will be on a first come first served basis. 11.
