*Roy Landry Criterium Details - (1st Event) Lafayette, LA - Saturday Afternoon* *REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR RACE FOR SINGLE EVENT ENTRANTS* Directions:*Directions From Hwy 90 across from the Acadiana Regional Airport, head south west on to Kaliste Saloom Road. Travel.82 miles and take a left on to south college road and you should see the start finish line of the criterium. (map) Airport CRITERIUM COURSE: The.84 mile course will be ridden counter clockwise. The course consists of 1 large U- turn, 1 right hand turn into a 20 feet incline, and 3 left hand turns going back downhill. The free lap rule will be in effect. You must report to the pit in order to receive a free lap. The pit will be located in the area of the start line. Free laps are allowed only for mishaps as per USCF regulations. Riders suffering from a mishap may not ride against the traffic in order to get to the pit area. Proceed in the direction of the race only. NO FREE LAPS WILL BE GRANTED DURING THE FINAL SIX LAPS of the race. All riders finish on the same lap as the leader. Lapped riders may be pulled if they threaten to interfere with the finish or the safety of the race. Lapped riders may not compete for primes, bonus points, or for the finish. Lapped riders may not contest the final sprint. Lapped riders may not drop back in order to assist another rider off the front of the pack. 6

You will see two wooden buildings on the left and right side as you enter Arnaudville. Park on the right side behind the buildings! (1517 Courtableau Hwy / Arnaudville, LA 70512) Please adhere to parking attendants instructions; space is limited so park efficiently. *Sunday Morning Road Race Details Continued* RR Course Description: The road race will start at the staging area and the finish line will be at the same spot. The circuit is 15 miles in length and will be raced clockwise. Rules All USCF rules will be enforced at all times. Riders in different races may not work together. Please confirm your placing after the RR with the official. The centerline rule will be in effect during the RR & TT. Feeding: Feeding will be allowed 2.5 miles up the road see the map.this zone will be marked. Please DO NOT discard trash along the race course; only do so in the feed zone. Support vehicles will be on the lookout for litterbugs! Riders caught littering the roadside WILL result in disqualification. The race organizer will neutral water feeds but limited volunteers to hand them out; Riders should carry their own bottles, or have them provided by support personnel. TRAFFIC CONTROL: The Road Race course will be OPEN TO TRAFFIC. *MOST IMPORTANTLY* I know we like to take turns wide, but please try to stay in the right lane at all times. Please remember that most drivers do not know how to react to a racing peloton. The center line rule will be in effect. All turns should be monitored, but the final responsibility for safety rests with the rider! We sometimes have trouble stopping cars. KEEP YOUR HEADS UP THROUGH THE TURNS! When warming up before races, KEEP THE ROAD CLEAR by not standing around in the street talking, etc. this is very important for our ability to continue to have races on our course. Try at all times to avoid blocking the road. Please respect the rights of others with whom we share the road. Team and individual vehicles are to stay in the parking area at all times. Both lanes can be used once within the 200 meter mark for the final sprint. Keep your heads up! Support Vehicle There will be a single following pickup with neutral, rider provided, wheel support. Following vehicles will be located near the start line. Spare wheels must be labeled. Don t forget to pick up your wheels after the race.
