Heeled shoes or boots are strongly recommended. Shirt with sleeves required. Tack. Martingales of any type are not permitted in under saddle classes (including Pleasure classes). Flash nosebands of any type are not permitted in any classes except jumpers. Anyone entering with these devices will not be placed in the class. Boots and bandages are prohibited in Hunter Classes. Be aware that improperly fitted tack, excessive training devices or certain types of bits may be marked down at the discretion of a judge. Rider may be excused at the discretion of the judge or management if tack appears harmful to the well being of the horse or pony. Tack questions should be directed to the Show Manager. Cross enter at your own risk. Classes will not be held for more than 5 minutes. Schooling Rules. $20 fine for riders not leaving the schooling ring when requested. ALL riders are to stop when there is a fallen rider in the ring or will be excused from the show. Show management reserves the right to combine, divide, cancel or change the order or location of any class. The decision in regards to show placement is the judge and/or show manager is final. The competitors, trainers, parents and spectators are asked not to speak to the judge during the show for any reason. Please direct questions and concerns to the show management. The show will be held rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, the show may have to be cancelled. Please call the office at (610) 847-8597 to verify. NEW RULES Mini Stirrup and Short Stirrup Riders If eligible, riders in these divisions may cross enter into canter and/or fences classes for a maximum of three (3) consecutive shows. At that time, a competitor MUST decide which division they wish to show in. They will forfeit ALL points in the classes they are leaving for Year End Awards. Green Hunters May cross enter into Maiden for a maximum of three (3) consecutive shows. At that time, a competitor MUST decide which division they wish to show in. General Information Bucks County Horse Hunter Ring #1 Entry Fees: $12/Class or $30/Division for BCHP members $17/Class or $45/Division for non-members - BCHP members need to show ID for discount. BCHP volunteer coupons are accepted for fees. NEW! Games Division - $5 per Race and $15 per Division $$10 Leadline classes/$25 Leadline Division Show Day Phone #267-421-8337 Six ribbons awarded per class with more than one entry. Prizes are awarded in Champion and Reserve weekly and Year End Awards will be given at the Annual Banquet in November. You must be registered in the same division or class at a minimum of 6 shows with the horse and rider combination with the exception of Equitation classes, to be eligible for a year end award. You do not need to be a BCHP member. Classes that are age restricted will use the rider s age as of Dec. 1, 2008. EXPRESS Registration Horse/Rider combinations can pay $2.00 and get a back number for the season. The day of the show, you can drop off a completed entry form with an attached blank check or cash and go right to the warm up or your class. There will be an EXPRESS LINE available. Equitation Classes To be shown both directions of the ring. These classes are judged on hands, seat and control of mount. In the more advanced classes riders may be asked to perform sitting trot, 2 point position and riding without stirrups at all gaits. Riders are not limited to showing the same horse throughout the season to qualify for Year End Awards. Courses to progressively advance throughout the show season. Hunter Classes - Judged on the horse s manners, way of going, soundness and suitability. Be aware that improperly fitted tack or excessive training devices will lessen you placing in many classes. The 1 st round and jump-off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the Time Allowed (We will break jump-off ties by time taken). If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide in the event of equality of faults. If necessary, a competitor with a clear 1 st round may dismount, and with or without assistance, adjust tack, provided they remount and begin their jump-off within the prescribed 45 seconds. Table II, Sec 1 Only one round is ridden. This round is decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the Time Allowed. Horses with clean rounds or equal faults are classified according to their time taken to complete the course. Modified Table III This is a power and speed class. If clean over the power phase, the competitor continues on immediately into the speed phase of the course. Faults 1. Knockdown of obstacle or standard with any portion of horse, rider, or equipment, when jumping - 4 faults 2. Knockdown of timing equipment, marker on start and finish lines, or flags 4 faults 3. First disobedience anywhere on course 4 faults 4. Second disobedience anywhere on course 4 faults 5. One (1) fault for each sec. over Times Allowed. ELIMINATION FOR THE FOLLOWING Third disobedience anywhere on course, exceeding Time Limit, resisting forward movement for 45 sec., taking 45 sec. to jump the first obstacle after the round has begun, taking 45 sec. to jump the second obstacle on course, crossing own jump line, fall of horse and/or rider, jumping an obstacle before it is reset or without waiting for the signal to proceed, starting before the start signal, failure to cross the start line within 45 sec., Off course, failure to enter arena after 1 (one) minute of being called, leaving the arena before finishing the course, abuse or excessive use of whip or spurs any time within the arena.
