This links course has vistas of mountains, bays, rolling emerald hills, a breathtaking countryside and the Atlantic Ocean. This was Payne Stewart s favourite course in Ireland. Payne practiced here in preparation for the Open, and he is a beloved figure in the village of Waterville, Ireland.

On some nights Payne would venture into the village pubs to play with the local bands and pour a few pints. Before his untimely passing he was asked to be the Honorary Captain of the club. Waterville GC members bestowed the honour upon him posthumously in a ceremony with his family and friends. He is the honorary Captain of the Waterville Golf Club and a lifesized bronze statue is behind the 9 th green. It s not just the golf course that is special here, but the warmth of the Irish people in Waterville and the feeling that Payne is watching over you. After your round we head back to Killarney. This will be your last night in the charming village of Killarney. Waterville Golf Club #11 Statue of Payne Stewart Day & Nite 5 Leaving Killarney in the am we head out to Tralee, Ireland to play Tralee golf club. Here you will play a fantastic links golf course. The original course was designed in the 1800 s and then renovated by none other than Arnold Palmer. Tralee has great views of the Atlantic and famous beach that was filmed in the Hollywood classic Ryan s Daughter. Day & Nite 5 After golf at Tralee we travel onward to LaHinch, Ireland. Your stay here is at Vaughan s Lodge a wonderful B & B located on a hill that overlooks the village of LaHinch and also the LaHinch championship golf course. Option is to travel to Bunratty for last two nights of your stay. Departure cocktail party can be tonight at Dirty Nelly s in Bunratty. Day & Nite 6 This famous seaside links course is a great way to finish your golf in a grand and classic style. LaHinch offers views of the Atlantic Ocean, Liscannor Bay and Hag s Head that are breathtaking. Your game of golf will be tested at one of the toughest par 3 s in the world called the Dell. Your 145 yard tee shot is blind to a green that is tucked in a natural amphitheatre protected by immense sand dunes and an Irish wind. Don t worry though Tiger carded an 8 when he played here.
