TIPTREE & THURSTABLE RIDING CLUB RULES Please read and adhere to our rules and take note of any posters displayed on the day of the show for your safety. Thank you. Rosettes will be awarded up to sixth place. Special rosettes will be given out at the judges discretion. Classes will be limited to 18 competitors. Pre entering is advisable. If any classes become full before the show day, it will be posted on our facebook page. Entry fees will only be refunded if organisers cancel the event. Riding hats must be worn when mounted. Walk only is permitted on the show ground apart from designated warm up areas. No horse/pony is to be left unattended whilst tied to the lorry/trailer. Tiptree & Thurstable Riding Club, judges and helpers cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to belongings or persons on the show ground. We cannot be held responsible for the safety of any horses, riders or visitors on the show ground. All dogs are to be kept on leads at all times. Any foulings are to be picked up and disposed of appropriately. Please place all rubbish in the bins provided, & pick up all loose droppings before you leave. We reserve the right to cancel the event due to the weather, in which case a refund will be given. Should a show be cancelled due to the weather, the decision will be taken the day before. Please contact 07973 332 130 if the weather looks bad. Horses and ponies must be over 4 years of age in all ridden classes. Excessive use of whips will not be tolerated. The committee reserves the right to refuse entry and/or to remove any animal/competitor without being liable for compensation. Start times are only approximate. The judges decision is final. Any complaints must be made in writing within 24 hours of the show day with a 20 fee. The committee will then discuss the outcome after the show date. Lead rein entrants must have the lead rein attached to the noseband only. Snaffle bridles only. No stallion/colt is allowed in young handler classes. Stallions/ colts must be handled by over 14 year olds. Stallions/colts must be bitted. Stallions/colts must be declared on arrival and parked accordingly. Relevant ribbons must be worn to identify your horse as follows: Stallion/Colt -blue; Novice Horse -green; Horses that kick -red. Spare ribbons will be available at the secretary s desk for a 50p charge. Be respectful of other competitors in the warm up; pass left to left; do not stop on the track or at gateways. Please note that there is no water available on the showground. Classes may clash, there will be no waiting. It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure times are adhered to. Your signature on your entry form indicates that you have read and understood these rules and that you agree to abide to them. No leadrein in any classes unless stated we hope you have a safe and enjoyable day.
tsr showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! tsr riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. tsr in hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 21 days of the qualifying show. ring 6 dressage Pre entries only. 10 per class plus 2 first aid per rider. Junior / Senior split if entrants warrant. Bit less bridles and non BD bits will be allowed but will incur 2 penalty points. Normal BD rules apply and no gadgets, training aids or boots to be used. intro b and PreliM 7 Times to be sent via email or text message on the Thursday before the show. Some flexibility with dressage times will be given if horse and rider are competing in separate rings but all entries must be pre entered. Entries close a week before the show day (27th May and 12th August)
orsett ChaMPionshiP This show is affiliated to the Orsett Horticultural & Agricultural Show with the championship final taking place at the Orsett showground on 1 st September 2018. All competitors must reside in Essex to compete at this championship. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified in each class will qualify. If 1 st and 2 nd have qualified, then qualification passes down to no lower than 4 th place. No membership fee is required. Qualifying cards are to be collected from the show where qualified. A qualifying card for each class being entered, for the final, must be sent with the entry fee to Orsett show before the closing date 19 th August 2018. **************************************************** Our August show is still a qualifier but entries to the orsett show must be sent off asap. Late entries for the orsett will be accepted from tiptree and Thurstable riding club if they are received within a week of our show day.
