CONDITIONS OF PLAY (i) The 2018 Staysure PGA Trophy Grand Final will be a 36 hole four-ball stableford event with 18 holes to be played on Tuesday 31st July and Wednesday 1st August. (ii) The field will total 8 teams, comprising the winning pair from each of the 6 Regional Finals as well as the second placed team from the two Regional Finals with the largest entry on the closing date. (iii) In the event of a tie for first place in the Grand Final, a hole-by-hole play-off will be held, the winning team of which will be champions. The play-off will commence when possible from hole 1 and continue, playing the holes in order until a winner is determined. If applicable, handicap strokes will apply. Teams losing in such a play-off will be placed according to card play-off results unless performance in the hole-by-hole play-off determines these positions prior to the champions being determined. Card play-off, if applicable, will operate as follows: best last 18, 9, 6, 3 and 1 holes. If a tie still remains the result will be determined by a match play hole-by-hole play-off from the better ball scores recorded on the card starting at the first hole of the final round. If still tied, the same procedure will apply to the round 1 card. (iv) In the event of either the amateur or The PGA Professional of a winning team at a Regional Final leaving the Club before the Grand Final, or if the team is unable to participate in the Grand Final, the team finishing second in the relevant Regional Final will take the team s place. (v) The Championship will be run in accordance with the Regulations of The Professional Golfers Association, the R&A Rules of Golf of R&A Rules Ltd, PGA Local Rules and Conditions of Competition and the additional local rules of London Golf Club as approved by the Tournament Director. PLAYER REGISTRATION Registration will be open from 12 noon on Monday 30 th July and conducted in the main entrance to the clubhouse and all players are requested to register with the onsite PGA Official upon arrival to the golf club. Please provide an up to date handicap certificate for the amateur in your team. Page 3 of 6
5. DRAW FOR ORDER OF PLAY & STARTING TIMES The draw for play on the official practice round will be published ahead of your arrival to The London Golf Club on Monday 30 th July. Monday 30 th July International Course, 14.00pm 14.30pm Tuesday 31 st July International Course, 08.30am 09.00am Wednesday 1 st August Heritage Course, 09.30am 10.00am (i) The draw for Round 1 will be published following registration on Monday 30 th July. (ii) The draw for Round 2 will be made following Round 1 in score order, with the leaders out last. Competitors are required to arrive at the first tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time. The Official starter will provide pin position sheets, Local Rules and any additional information at that time. A copy of each days play will be available from The PGA Tournament Office. 6. GENERAL Competitors must not wear or carry any branding that would conflict with the wishes of our sponsors. Any competitor or associated supporter that, in the opinion of the PGA, brings the event into disrepute by any action will not be permitted to take any further part in the Tournament or associated activities and will have their accommodation withdrawn. Please contact Chris Joyce if you have any such concerns. 7. DRESS CODES The PGA dress code regulations will be in place throughout the week which apply at all times when competitors are on the course, practice areas and in the Clubhouse. Golf shoes must not be worn in the clubhouse. 8. PRACTICE FACILITIES The driving range and short game areas are all available for competitors to use on a complimentary basis. Chipping green and practice bunkers are located to the right of the practice range hitting bays. 9. CLUBHOUSE The clubhouse and Professional Shop will be open at least one hour before play on all days. (i) Changing Rooms The men s locker room with showering facilities are available for all competitors to use all week. (ii) Tournament Office The PGA Official Tournament Office is located within the International Suite, upstairs in the clubhouse. A PGA Official will be there at all times to answer any questions you may have, additionally all tournament information and notices will be available to read. 10. TROLLEYS It is advisable that any competitors wishing to use pull trolleys bring their own for use during the Championship as hire availability isn t guaranteed at the golf club. However, electric trolleys can be hired for a cost of 15 per round. Page 4 of 6
11. PRIZE PRESENTATION The prize presentation will take place from 16.00pm behind the 18 th hole on the Heritage Course. The top 3 teams will be required to stay, and it is expected that all teams will also be present. 12.
