Irving is the 1 st player to have at least 31 points and 14 assists in the event. He had 24 points of his 31 points come in the second half, tying Glen Rice (1997) for most points scored in a in a single half in All-Star history. DELLY FROM DEEP: All but three of Matthew Dellavedova s 57 total three-pointers in 2013-14 had been in games where he came off the bench. Among rookie bench players, only Tim Hardaway Jr. had more. See the box on the right for most triples made by rookie reserves last season. Dellavedova also recorded back-to-back double-doubles off the bench on March 20 vs. OKC (11 pts, 10 asts) and March 22 vs. HOU (14 pts, 10 asts). The last Cavs player to record consecutive pointassist double-doubles off the bench happened over 23 years ago (John Morton, 3/14/91-3/16/91). Against Detroit on April 9, Dellavedova came off the bench to distribute a career-high 12 assists and added 14 points, becoming just the 2nd Cavaliers rookie to come off the bench and hand out at least 12 assists in a game (Terrell Brandon, 13 assists on March 22, 1992 against Atlanta. Curry, L. James, J. Harden, R. Westbrook & I. Thomas). Irving also scored at least 20 points in 38 contests in 2013-14, including 30 points or more 10 times and 40 points or more three times. Check out additional notes on the 2014 NBA All-Star Game MVP: In 2013-14, Irving appeared in 71 games (all starts) with averages of 20.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 35.2 minutes per game. It was the second-straight season that Kyrie Irving averaged at least 20 points and five assists per game. He is only the 2nd Cavs player to every average those numbers in multiple seasons (L. James). Irving scored a league-high 55 points in overtime this past season and his 7.9 overtime points per game were the 2ndmost in the NBA (minimum: 2 OT games). His 12 points in the second overtime on Dec. 26 versus Atlanta was one point shy of tying the most points scored in a single overtime in franchise history (LeBron James, 13 points in second OT on Jan. 24, 2007 vs. PHI). Irving was also solid in the fourth quarter with an average of 6.1 points (8th in NBA). In a 99-79 victory over the Utah Jazz on Feb. 28, Irving notched his first career triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. In the win over Milwaukee on Dec. 20, he had 39 points on 13-25 (.520) shooting, six assists and a career-high four blocks in 42 minutes. Since blocks became an official stat in 1973-74, Irving is the only Cavs guard to post 39 points and four blocks in a single game. Versus the Trail Blazers on Dec. 17, Irving put up his 4 th double-double of 2013-14 with 25 points, 10 assists and zero turnovers, becoming the first Cavalier with those totals since March 19, 2009 (L. Free on March 29, 1986 (43 points, 11 assists, 0 turnovers) to tally at least 37 points and 11 assists, while having one or fewer turnovers in a single game. Before Irving, the last NBA player to accomplish that feat was Kobe Bryant on December 29, 2009 (44 points, 11 assists, one turnover versus Golden State). In a 127-125 double-overtime win over Philadelphia on Nov. 9, he became the 3rd Cavs player to ever tally 39 points, five rebounds and 12 assists in a single game (LeBron James and Mark Price).

But it was the Little Stars who really stole the show. The Q transformed into the Sands Casino in Las Vegas, circa 1964, as the Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the annual Big Shots and Little Stars fundraiser. The event benefits Flashes of Hope and The Children s Tumor Foundation and featured Cleveland-area Big Shots and the true Little Stars of the evening pediatric cancer patients and survivors. The Vegas party-goers were treated to posh accommodations, as well as toe-tapping performances of old favorites such as Luck be a Lady and New York, New York. There were even Vegas showgirls adorning the stage. And what Sin City shindig would be complete without some opulent food and cocktails. The pinnacle of the night was the eye-catching and heart-warming fashion show, featuring the Big Shots accompanying their Little Stars down the runway. Among the many Big Shots were Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert and Vice Chairmen Jeff Cohen and Nate Forbes, the full Cavs team, Lake Erie Monsters players Sami Aittokallio and Paul Carey, and Cleveland Gladiators Dominic Jones and Chad Schofield; plus several prominent Cleveland business leaders. FRANCHISE S PAST AND PRESENT CONVERGE IN AKRON FOR A WORTHY CAUSE: Fall was in the air on September 22 nd as more than 300 golfers teed off at the renowned Firestone Country Club in Akron for the 29th Annual Cavaliers Youth Fund Golf Classic, presented by Cleveland Clinic, Jani-King and PwC Cleveland. The signature yearly event brought together the Cavs past with the likes of former general manager, Wayne Embry, and former players Terrell Brandon and Larry Nance and the franchise s present and future with new head coach, David Blatt, general manager David Griffin and players like Kevin Love and Mike Miller. The Golf Classic is the largest fundraiser each year for the Cavaliers Youth Fund (CYF), a fund of the Cleveland Foundation. CYF distributes the net proceeds from the event to Cleveland-area organizations supporting children, families and young adults in the areas of education, health, recreation, employment, entrepreneurship and life skills. Since its inception in 1993, CYF has distributed grants totaling more than $22 million to deserving organizations benefiting Northeast Ohio. Hitting the links for charity were current Cavs players Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Harris, Alex Kirk, Mike Miller and Dwight Powell. They were joined by many members of the team s front office and coaching staff. Plus Legends Jim Chones, Zydrunas Ilgauskus, and Campy Russell took part along with dozens of other former Cavs players, such as Wally Szczerbiak, Earl Boykins and Trajan Langdon. Blatt and Griffin, along with players Kevin Love and James Jones, were also out on the greens during the event. Newly-named Canton Charge head coach, Jordi Fernandez, hit the greens, as did Cleveland Gladiators Head Coach Steve Thonn and his players, Chris Dieker, Dominic Jones, Joe Phinisee and Collin Taylor. After a full day on the fairway, golfers were treated to a reception with Northeast Ohio flair. Local food trucks The Green Machine, The Mash Box, Swensons, Zydeco Bistro, Mason s Creamery and Donut Lab provided fun and food. Guests also enjoyed Outback Steakhouse while out on the course during the day. Another popular feature of the annual Golf Classic held for the fourth straight year at Firestone is the silent auction, which gives guests the chance to bid on sports memorabilia and unique experiences and items, and raises additional funds for CYF to distribute.
