Limited to 6 exhibits. Class 3 Celebrity Chef A table exhibit To be staged by up to two people. A title to be given. Restrained decoration of sides permitted. Exhibits to be staged on a circular table diameter 122 cm, height 76 cm. Minimum Height from top of table 1m. To be viewed and judged all round. To be judged using the medal award system. Table covered by pale green Seafoam cloth (directlinen.co.uk) to the floor. Limited to 10 exhibits. Class 4 Pimms O Clock (Imposed Class). To incorporate a black metal stand (provided) 1m high by 23 cm square (see diagram). Staged on a raised base measuring 122cm x 122cm x 25cm. Height optional. No side decorations allowed. All materials, containers and mechanics will be provided and to be used at exhibitor s discretion. Only working tools may be brought Staging of this class to commence for ALL competitors at 2.00pm on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 and must be completed by 4.00pm. Competitors will be expected to dismantle and dispose of their exhibit at close of the show. A special entry fee of 25 will be required for this class. Limited to 12 exhibits.
Class 5 Lemon Sorbet Staged on a hanging grid at eye level. Plant material to be staged on a hanging grid 56cm width by 91cm length, comprising of 5cm squares. Plant material to be staged within the grid. Not to protrude more than 15cm from the grid. The approximate height from ground to the CENTRE of grid is 137cm. Viewed and judged from both sides. Limited to 8 exhibits. Class 6 Garden Party Staged on a base raised 30cm above floor level. To be staged within a triangular alcove measuring 100cm height x 100cm depth. Base and sides painted Dulux Soft Sage (ref 17531). Limited to 16 exhibits. Class 7 Turkish Delight Staged on a cube width 61 cm by depth 61 cm, height 56 cm. Space allowed: width 100cm, depth 100cm, height optional. Painted with Crown Shocking Pink and pale grey on two opposing sides. Top of cube painted pale grey. To be viewed all round and judged from the front. Limited to 14 exhibits. Class 8 Five a day! Pedestal exhibit. Space allowed: width 122 cm, depth 122 cm, height optional. Novice Class Class 14 Edible Garden Novice Class. (NB. This is a class to encourage competitors at the beginning of their show career) Staged on tabling 76 cm from floor and covered in green fabric. Must be assembled as regulation 2. Natural plant material to predominate. No artificial plant material to be used. If insufficient entries are received, the class may be combined. Limited to 16 exhibits ticket (excludes Thursday). If a junior competitor indicates a wish to attend the Floral Art Tea Party on their entry form the accompanying adult will be issued with a complimentary tea party ticket. Floristry Class Class 16 Floristry Class Bouquet Garni: A hand tied bouquet Staged on tabling 76 cm from floor and covered in green fabric. Space allowed: width 60cm by depth 60cm. Background green. Suitable accessories and staging to be provided by exhibitor. Must be displayed in a water retaining vessel. May be brought ready assembled. Must be well balanced and able to be picked up. ticket (excludes Thursday). NB: No commercial advertising on any exhibit.
Regulations for All Classes 1. The competitors will be judged under the NAFAS Competitions Manual (Third edition) 2015. 2. Exhibitors must arrange the exhibits in the building without assistance with the exception of Classes 11, 12, 13 and 16 which must be the unaided work of the exhibitor. No exhibitor may enter more than one exhibit in any one class. 3. Aerosol spray cans of any description must not be used inside the Avon Hall 4. The position to be occupied by all exhibits shall be decided by the Three Counties Agricultural Society Floral Art Committee. 5. The Society will arrange watering of exhibits each day if requested, and competitors are asked to complete the form provided and leave it with the organisers indicating where on their exhibit watering can be done, and to ensure that there is enough room left for water in any container used. 6. All the exhibitors property will be at the risk of the exhibitor and the RHS Malvern Spring Festival (Three Counties Agricultural Society) will not be liable for the loss or damage for any cause whatsoever. It is advisable that any valuable accessory should be secured to the table. 7. All entries must be made on the official entry form which must be received by the Floral Art Section not later than first post Monday, 3 April 2017 Entries are limited in each class and should the number of entries for any class exceed the number that can be accommodated the competitor will be advised. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Confirmation of entry will be sent within 14 days of closing date or, if they have been unsuccessful, the entry fee will be refunded. A SAE must be included for acknowledgement of receipt of entry. Otherwise no entry fee will be refunded and the Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry and in the event of a refusal, it is not required to give any reason. 8. Each entry must be accompanied by a fee of 5.00 per class (except for class 4 where the entry fee is 25). These fees include VAT. There is no entry fee for Class 1 and Class 15. Cheques should be made payable to Three Counties Agricultural Society or TCAS. 9. If exhibitors are unable to stage their exhibit/s please inform the Floral Art section by Friday, 21 April 2017. Please note that in the event of exhibitors being unable to stage their exhibits, no refunds will be given in order to cover an administration charge. 10. Exhibits may be staged at any time between 10.30am on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 and 5.30am on Thursday, 11 May 2017, and all exhibits must be staged ready for judging to commence at 6.30am. All exhibitors must leave the building by 5.30am on Thursday, 11 May 2017 and will NOT be re-admitted until after judging is completed and the Show is open. NB: Class 1 exhibitors may have vehicle access from 9.30am on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 to allow unloading of materials into Avon Hall; vehicles must then be removed and staging may not commence until 10.30am. 11. Each exhibitor will be notified of the number allocated to his/her exhibit. The exhibit must be staged in the space allocated at the discretion of the committee. 12. Exhibitors will not be allowed to remove exhibits before 5.15pm on Sunday, 14 May 2017. Vehicles must use the gate indicated by the colour of their vehicle pass to gain access to the Avon Hall. Exhibitor s vehicles will be allowed on the showground between 10.30am on Wednesday 10 May and 6.30am on
Thursday, 11 May. No vehicles will be re-admitted until after 6pm on Sunday. Exhibitors should use the Public Parking areas during show hours. 13. Prize money will be forwarded after the show. Any prize may be withheld or modified if the exhibits are considered undeserving of the prizes offered. 14. The Best in Show, Best Use of Fresh Foliage, Best Use of Colour, Best Novice and Best Junior trophies and Major Awards will then be presented to the winners. Please indicate in the appropriate box on entry form the number of exhibitors who wish to receive a complimentary Afternoon Tea ticket (which does not admit to showground). An additional Afternoon Tea ticket per exhibitor may be purchased in advance (please see entry form). It is hoped that all exhibitors will be able to attend.
