KNIGHT ON GATTO: C.J. had some good moments this summer and played solid amateur golf. He played a lot for us last year and had an outstanding fall. He had mixed results in the spring, but still got a lot of experience for it. He adds a lot of experience to our team and this year will be much more comfortable for him with his added experience. He understands what he needs to do to be a real factor for us. 2004-05: Recipient of the Michael Maze award, which is presented annually to the Rebel golfer who best exemplifies the spirit of Rebel golf... played in UNLV s home tournament, the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship, finishing tied for 20th (220)... his best round was even-par 72 in the first-round... averaged 73.33 strokes per round. 2003-04: Used season as a redshirt year. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School in Columbus, Ohio earned a total of seven letters in golf and basketball led the Wildcats golf team to back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Ohio Capital Conference two-time league player of the year, the first in school history broke the school record for low round with a 68 and for scoring average posted three top-10 finishes in the AJGA, including a second-place effort at the Las Vegas Founders Championship three-year starter at guard for the Wildcat basketball team. 50

CENTER UNLV: Begins his second season with the Rebels... at the beginning of the 2006-07 season, ranked as the eighth best amateur golfer in the country by Golfweek. 2005-06: Named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year... one of three Rebels named to the All-MWC team... earned Co-MWC Golfer of the Month for November... one of six Rebel golfers to be named to the 2006 Academic All-MWC team... played in all 12 of UNLV s tournaments totalling 36 rounds... had six top-20 finishes, including two top-fives... tied for first at the University of Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate, but lost in a playoff... tied for second at UNLV s home tournament, the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship... shot six rounds in the 60s, with a career-best six-under 66 during the final round of the Cougar Classic... was third on the team in scoring average with 73.08... captured the 2006 Porter Cup championship by two shots at 10-under 270 and tied for second at the 2006 Sunnehanna Amateur, one shot back at three-under (both major amateur events)... finished second at the Scratch Players Championship during the 2005 summer, finishing one stroke behind former Rebel teammate Andres Gonzales as the pair were two of only three golfers at the event to finish under par. KNIGHT ON HAN: Seung-su is coming off a solid freshman year and winning the Porter Cup was huge for him. As he has moved up different levels of golf, he has become more comfortable with it. He has worked hard on his physical training and winning this summer along with some top performances last year in college and being named MWC Freshman of the Year will really help him to know he belongs as one of the elite players. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Edison Academic Center in Bradenton, Fla.... named the AJGA s 2002 Player of the Year and the 2002 California Junior Player of the Year... won five tournaments in 2002, which is still the most of any junior player in a single year... the five wins exceeded Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, who both won four in one year... three-time All-American... advanced to the round of 16 at the 2004 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. PERSONAL: Seung-Su Han was born Sept. 10, 1986, in Incheon, South Korea... also goes by Steve Han... the son of Hyo-Sook Kim and Mun-Sug Han... has one brother, Josh (10)... majoring in hotel administration... is a black belt in tae kwan do. 52

PERSONAL: Samuel Bernhard Hunt was born July 30, 1984, in Wanganui, New Zealand the youngest son of Anne-Marie and Dennis Hunt has one brother, Karl (25) majoring in kinesiology. KNIGHT ON HUNT: Sam has played very well at times for us. UNLV: Begins his second season with the Rebels. 2005-06: Did not play in 2005-06, using the season as his redshirt year. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Flintridge Peparatory School in La Canada, Calif.... lettered four years in golf and was the team captain his junior and senior years... was a first team all-league selection all four years of high school... was a two-time all-area selection and the MVP of the Prep League... his senior year he was first team All-CIF and an L.A. Times first-team selection... was a Southern California Junior Player of the Year... finished second at the 2003 Las Vegas Founders Junior Golf Championship... also was a two-time United States Junior participant. PERSONAL: Brett James Kanda was born May 10, 1987, in Glendale, Calif.... son of James and Patricia Kanda... has a brother, Cameron (15)... majoring in communications... his dad played tennis at Santa Clara. KNIGHT ON KANDA: Brett has a big-time game. He has worked very hard on his short game to get it more consistent and I think we will start seeing some results from him. He was a solid junior player and redshirting last year gave him an understanding of what he needs to do here academically and athletically. He will be a lot more comfortable this year. He has had some flashes and consistency is going to be a big key for him. 56

INGLEMOOR HS UNLV: Begins his fifth year with the Rebels... has played in 25 career tournaments and 76 rounds... has a 73.53 career scoring average, which currently ranks 12th on the all-time UNLV chart for career scoring average... has recorded nine top-20 finishes, including three top-10s and two top-fives... has recorded 25 rounds at par or better. 2005-06: Did not play during 2005-06, using the season as a redshirt year... qualified for the 2006 U.S. Amateur. 2004-05: Earned honorable mention All-America as well as Academic All-MWC honors... played in nine tournaments and 28 rounds... his best finish was a tie for fifth at the Mountain West Conference Championship (214)... also recorded a top-10 finish at the National Invitational Tournament (208) where he tied for seventh... recorded six top-20 finishes including two top-10s and one top-five... had six rounds in the 60s, including a season-low 67 in the first round of the NIT... had a scoring average of 72.29, which ranked fourth on the team... his 72.29 scoring average ranks 13th on the all-time UNLV chart for scoring average in a season... during the summer of 2005 made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Wash.... led the Vikings to four straight district championships... a two-time AJGA All-American... won the AJGL Club Corp at Mission Hills and lost a playoff for a second victory at the Las Vegas Founders Legacy Junior... individual runner-up at the 2001 Washington State Championship where he lost to former Rebel teammate Ryan Moore. PERSONAL: Ryan Keeney was born July 3, 1983... the son of Barry and Jennifer Keeney... has twin sisters, Ashley and Valerie (20), and one brother, Troy (11)... majoring in communications with an emphasis in public relations. KNIGHT ON KEENEY: This season, Ryan is one of two returning All-Americans and I think he brings a lot to the table. Redshirting last season has given him a good perspective on a lot of things. He had a really outstanding sophomore year and played a lot of golf his junior year, so I think the experience that he brings will be really valuable to our program. 2003-04: Played in 11 tournaments and 32 rounds... his best finish was a tie for 11th at the Mountain West Conference Championship (221)... broke into the 60s three times, firing rounds of 68 twice... finished in the top 20 once... had a 74.53 scoring average, which was fourth on the team. 2002-03: Played in five tournaments and 16 rounds tied for fifth in his collegiate debut at the National Invitational Tournament fired the team s best round of the year, a career-low 65 in the final round of the ASU Invitational to become one of just 12 Rebels ever to shoot a competitive round of 65 or better retained his spot in the lineup throughout the playoff season... named a Freshman to Watch by Golfweek in its college preview. 58

PERSONAL: Matthew Maurice Kinsinger was born Aug. 25, 1985, in Bakersfield, Calif. the son of Tim and Heidi Kinsinger is the oldest of five siblings: Lindsey (18), Alexa (12), and twins Adam and Erin (10) majoring in business with an emphasis in finance. KNIGHT ON KINSINGER: Matt played a lot for us last year and has improved greatly. One of the keys for him is that his physical side has really stepped up and he has emphasized it. SCOTTSDALE CC UNLV: A local product who begins his third year with the Rebels... transferred to UNLV from Scottsdale Community College. 2005-06: Played in just one tournament, UNLV s home event, the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship where he tied for 44th... won the 2006 Southern Nevada Golf Association Championship. 2004-05: Used season as a redshirt year. AT SCOTTSDALE: Spent one year in the junior college ranks helping his team win the Western Regional Championship turned in a 69.2 scoring average... won one tournament and finished fifth at the NJCAA Division I National Championship earned All-American honors and selected first team all-conference was the runner-up for player of the year. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas... led the Panthers to the state title in 2001 and a second-place finish in 2002. PERSONAL: Brandon Mychal Loska was born Feb. 6, 1984, in Portland, Ore. the son of Richard Loska and Laurie Pettigreen has two younger brothers, Christian and Kit Pettigreen majoring in university studies. KNIGHT ON LOSKA: Brandon was very close to playing quite a bit for us in the spring, just a couple of shots away from making the team. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Aptos High School in Aptos, Calif.... was the 2005 FCWT Player of the Year... won the 2004 Northern California Championship and the 2004 CIF state high school championship, recording a hole-in-one at the event... advanced to the second round of the 2004 California State Amateur and won the 2004 FCWT Sun Devil Junior Golf Classic at ASU s Karsten Golf Course... lettered four years. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas... won the Nevada 4-A state championship in 2003... was named the Sunset Division s Player of the Year in 2004... he also earned Academic All-State honors three times... lettered all four years... the Gaels won the state 4A championship in 2002 and 2003. PERSONAL: Michael J. KNIGHT ON TEXTER: Jarred played a lot of golf for us last year. He has had two really good years. He was top five at Sunnehanna and was an All-American last year, so he comes back with good honors. He came very close to winning several tournaments last year and if he can get over the hump individually, that will be huge for us and for him. I expect to see a really good year out of him. He can play at the highest level on very difficult courses. 2004-05: Named the 2005 MWC Freshman of the Year... earned Academic All- MWC honors... played in 10 tournaments and 31 rounds as a true freshman... his best finish was third at the Nelson Invitational (206)... also tied for ninth at the Mountain West Conference Championship (218)... his 206 at the Nelson tied him for the 16th lowest 54-hole total in UNLV history and tied him for first among UNLV freshmen... finished in the top 20 three times, including the top 10 twice and the top five once... shot a 65 during the second round at the Nelson Invitational to become just the third freshman to ever shoot a round that low... he is also just the 13th Rebel ever to shoot a round of 65 or better... had a scoring average of 73.19, which ranked seventh on the team.
