NETBALL AROUND THE COURTS - MATCH REPORTS ROUND 18 NETBALL PLAYERS WANTED! Netball players wanted for our under 9s, 11 and 12s netball team at Tyabb to play in the spring competition from September to November. It is only an 8 week season. Cost is $100 for the season plus uniform and VNA insurance if you don't have it. Please call or text Christine on 0416153189 ASAP so we can finalise teams. U9s COACH: Christine Jeremiah The Under 9s played a tough game this week. We started off with a couple of quick goals, but the opposition made a come back, finishing the game 4-4. Goal scorers this week were lacey 2, Brea 1 and Phoebe 1. Awards went to Mikayla, India, Skye and Phoebe. Well done girls! U10s COACH: Georgie Beech Our Under 10 netball girls played like champions today against Dromana Tigers!! With everyone putting in 100% and pressure from the defence made it a thrilling game to watch. The weather was bleak with freezing winds but it didn't deter our girls. They persisted till the very last whistle, giving the game their all. Special mention goes to Ellie Gray. Well done for getting back up after taking a nasty tumble. The goal shooters this week were Gabby Conlin and Jordyn McKee. Our awards today go to The Whole Team!!! Well done girls! You all deserve it!! Go Yabbies!!

NETBALL AROUND THE COURTS - MATCH REPORTS ROUND 18 U12s COACH: Alisha McNaughton This Saturday the our under 12s netball team played St Macs Shooting Stars. This was the girls final game for the season. They had so much determination and focus and wanted the win. They were up in front until half time when St Macs took the lead. A fantastic game with a score of 6-4. The goals scored were fantastic!! Great job to the shooters! Our defence was exceptional and keep St Macs at bay for the first quarter and didn't let up the whole game. Way to go girls. You make us so proud. The girls who played the centre of the court managed to get the ball down our end fast with strong passes. The girls played in different positions the last couple of weeks and took on this challenge without a fuss and it definitely paid off. They make us so proud!!! Each and every girl deserved player of the day which they received. The girls have grown and developed so much since their first game and cannot wait to watch them continue to excel next season. It has been a pleasure to manage you through the season. Huge thank you to Beth and Lyndall who coached the girls. We really appreciate your time and hard effort. Once again thanks to the parents for having the girls there early ready for warmup and their consistent encouragement. U13s COACH: Heidi Hewitt No report submitted.
