24TH ASIAN JUNIOR & CADET TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018 NAY PYI TAW, MYANMAR P R O S P E C T U S 1 AUTHORITY The 24th Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships will be organized by the Myanmar Table Tennis Federation under the authority of the Asian Table Tennis Union. 2 DATE 13-18 August 2018 3 VENUE Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. 4 EVENTS The following Championships events will be played : 4.1. Junior Boys Team Event 4.2. Junior Girls Team Event 4.3. Junior Boys Singles 4.4. Junior Girls Singles 4.5. Junior Boys Doubles 4.6. Junior Girls Doubles 4.7. Junior Mixed Doubles 4.8. Cadet Boys Team 4.9. Cadet Girls Team 4.10. Cadet Boys Singles 4.11. Cadet Girls Singles 5 AGE LIMIT 5.1. Junior : Born on or after 1 January 2000 5.2. Cadet : Born on or after 1 January 2003 6 ELIGIBILITY 6.1. 4 top Junior Boys' and Girl's teams from 2017 championships 6.2. 10 top Junior Boys' and Girl's teams from 5 regions, each region with two (2) teams 6.3. 1 Junior Boys' and Girl's team from host country (if not qualified under 6.1. and 6.1.2) 6.4. For Cadet Boys and Girls team events, all ATTU member associations are eligible to participate
7 ENTRY CRITERIA 7.1. Qualified Association (under 6.1. and 6.2.) 7.1.1. Maximum 4 Junior Boy players and 4 Junior Girl players 7.1.2. Maximum 3 Cadet Boy Players and 3 Cadet Girls 7.2. Non-Qualified Association 7.2.1. Maximum 2 Junior Boy players and 2 Junior Girl players 7.2.2. Maximum 3 Cadet Boy players and 3 Cadet Girl players Non-Qualified Association has to pay for their own expenses. 7.3. Host Association 7.3.1. Maximum 6 Junior Boy players and 6 Junior Girls 7.3.2. Maximum 6 Cadet Boy players and 6 Cadet Girl players 8 SYSTEM OF PLAY 8.1. Junior Team Events The team competition will be conducted in two stages by the New Swaythling Cup System 8.1.1. Stage 1 Except the champion and runner-up of 2017 AJCTTC, all teams will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 teams to play a Round Robin system to determine the group winners. 8.1.2. Stage 2 The champion and runner-up of 2017 AJCTTC together with the top two (2) teams from the 4 groups will play a progressive Knockout System to determine all positions, except 3rd. and 4th positions. All team matches shall be best of five (5) games. 8.1.3. Order of play : A vs X, B vs Y, C vs Z, A vs Y, B vs X 8.2. Junior Individual Events All Junior single events shall be played in two stages. 8.2.1. stage 1 Players will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 players to play a Round Robin System to determine the group winners. All Stage 1 matches shall be best of five (5) games. 8.2.2. Stage 2 The top winner from each group will play a Knockout System to determine the winners. All Stage 2 matches shall be best of seven (7) games All Junior Doubles events will be played on Knockout System with best of five (5) games.
8.3. Cadet Team Events The Cadet Team events will be conducted in two stages with the Corbillon Cup System. 8.3.1. Stage 1 Teams will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 teams to play a Round Robin System to determine the group winners. 8.3.2. stage 2 The top 2 teams from each group will play a Knockout system to determine the winners. All team matches shall be best of five (5) games. 8.3.3. Order of Play : A vs X, B vs Y, Double, A vs Y, B vs X 8.4. Cadet Single Events Cadet Single events will be conducted in two stages. 8.4.1. Stage 1 Players will be divided into groups of 3 or 4 players to play a Round Robin System to determine the group winners. All Stage 1 matches shall be best of five (5) games. 8.4.2. Stage 2 Top winner from each group shall play a Knockout system to determine the winners Stage 2 matches shall be best of five (5) games up to Quarter-Finals. Semi-Finals and Finals shall be best of seven (7) games. 9 TEAM MANAGER AND JURY MEETING Team Manager and Jury meeting will be on 12 August 2018 at 1500 HR. 10 DRAW 10.1. Draw for team events shall be on 7 August 2018 at 1100 HR 10.2. Table Yinhe Table Pro 25 14 INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS The championships will be conducted according to ITTF Rules and Regulations 15 HOSPITALITY The Organizing Committee will provide free hospitality from lunch on 12 August 2018 to the breakfast on 19 August 2018 to the Qualified Associations as follows:- 15.1. Not more than 4 players including playing and non-playing captain competing in both the Junior Boys and Girls Team events 15.2. Not more than 2 players, including playing and non -playing captain competing only in the Junior Boys or Girls Team event 15.3. Not more than 2 players competing in Junior Boys and Girls Individual Events. 15.4. Not more than 1 player competing in Junior Boys or Girls Individual Events. 15.5. Not more than 2 players competing in Cadet Boys and Girls Competition. 15.6. Not more than 1 player competing in Cadet Boys or Girls Competition. 15.7. One Official accompanying the teams. All members of ATTU Executive Board, ATTU Honorary Officials, full members of the Technical and Rules Committee, Coaching and Junior Committee and the invited ATTU Secretariat Staff International Umpires and Referees from other Association invited with the advice from ATTU The air fare of the Chairman of the Technical & Umpire Committee/Technical Delegate for the championships (1 person) 16 ACCOMPANYING/EXTRA PERSON Officials and players who are listed on Associations official entry forms but not entitled to free hospitality can be accommodated with the other with the same hospitality by paying the hospitality charges as follows:- 16.1.
