WARNING Oxygen therapy can be hazardous in certain conditions. Seeking medical advice before using an oxygen concentrator is advisable. Introduction This oxygen concentrator is intended to provide supplemental oxygen therapy in the home, nursing homes, patient care facilities, etc. This instruction will acquaint you with the oxygen concentrator. Make sure that you read and understand this guide before operating your unit. Please pay attention to all safety notices. Oxygen therapy may be dangerous in certain conditions. It is wise to consult with doctors before oxygen therapy through the machine. Spare oxygen-supply instruments are necessary for patients who urgently need oxygen. Power cord Figure2 How your Oxygen Concentrator works Oxygen concentrators are now the most reliable, efficient and convenient source of oxygen supplement. Being electrically operated, oxygen concentrators can separates oxygen from room air which allows high-purity oxygen to go through the outlet, without affecting the normal oxygen concentration in the room. 3

Setting up your oxygen concentrator Preparation 1. Unpack and make sure the unit and all the accessories are fine. 2. Position your unit at least 6 inches (16cm) from walls, draperies, or any other objects that might prevent the air in and out of it. Also the oxygen concentrator should be kept away from pollutants or fumes. 3. Check if the air filter at the back is clean. 4. Attach appropriate accessories to the oxygen outlet. Tubing Connection: a.thread the oxygen output connector onto the outlet.(figure 3) b.directly attach the oxygen tubing to the connector. (Figure 4) Figure 3 Figure 4 Tubing Connection with Humidification: If you are prescribed to use a humidifier bottle as part of your therapy, please follow these steps: a. Fill the humidification bottle with distilled water up to the top mark. b. Thread the wing nut on the top of the bottle to the oxygen outlet so that the bottle is suspended. Make sure it is firmly tightened. (Figure 5) c. Attach the oxygen tubing to the outlet of the bottle. Figure 5 Figure 6 (Figure 6) 5. Cannula, mask or other accessories prescribed by your physician should be attached with the oxygen tubing. The oxygen concentrator should not be used in the condition of high humidity or without ventilation. Do not use lubricating oil or any other synonyms to the machine. The oxygen concentrator is not allowed to be operated by a child. 4

Operating your oxygen concentrator WARNING Improper use to the power cord and plug can cause burning ing, fire or other electric shock hazards. Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged. WARNING Oxygen can help burning. Do not smoke when you open the oxygen concentrator or get close to a person who is utilizing oxygen therapy. 1. Press the Switch to ON. The system starts running, and the power light will illuminate. When the unit is turned on, the four lights on the panel will light on for a few minutes, and then only the power light and the normal purity light will keep on. Shut down the unit immediately when you see anything unusual drop or flow inside. Please switch to a reserve oxygen concentrator if you find the light turns yellow. Read the CHART OF TROUBLESHOOTING and you may find the solution. Please contact your dealer if necessary. 2. Adjust the flow meter and make sure the ball is centered on the line next to the prescribed number. NOTE----Turn the knob clockwise, the output flow will decreases (and eventually will shut off the oxygen flow) Turn the knob counterclockwise, the output flow will increases. Please notice to avoid the ball going above or below the scale range. 3. The flow rate and purity will be stable in a few seconds. Please control your using time as prescribed. 4. Press the switch to OFF if you want to shut off the unit. Do not forget to remove the plug from the strap. Do not restart in less than 2 minutes after each shutting down. Please pack the unit in the carton again if you do not intend to use within a short period. 5

Maintenance & Care WARNING Never clean the unit with lubricants, oils or grease. Before attempting any cleaning procedures, turn the unit off. Humidification bottle Please clean it everyday. Follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer: 1. Wash it in a solution of hot water. 2. Soak it into a solution of one part white vinegar to three parts hot water for 30 minutes. 3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and then fill with distilled water for the next use. Cannula, Mask and Tubing Clean and replace the cannula, mask and tubing as instructed by your provider. Air Filter & Intake Filter The intake filter should be replaced once every 800 hours, and it can be bought from dealers. The air filter should be cleaned at least once a week. To clean, follow these steps: 1. Remove the filter, located in the back of the unit. 2. Wash in a solution of warm tap water and towel dry. 3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and towel dry. The filter should be completely dry before reinstalling. Caution-to prevent product damage, do not attempt to operate the unit without the air filter or while the filter is still damp. Bacteria Filter The bacteria filter inside the oxygen concentrator can filter 99.999% of bacteria. Please ask for replacement after each 20000 hours use. Cabinet WARNING For your safety, please do not remove the cabinet unless you are a qualified technician. Do not apply liquid directly to the cabinet or utilize any petroleum-based solvents Clean the cabinet by using a damp cloth or sponge with a mild household cleaner, and then wipe it dry. 6

Troubleshooting The following troubleshooting chart will help you analyze and correct oxygen concentrator malfunctions. If the suggested procedures do not help, please switch to a reserve unit and contact your supplier. To avoid electric shock, do not take remove the cabinet. TROUBLESHOOTING CHART Symptom A. The unit does not work when the switch is on. The power light does not shine. Alarm is heard. Possible Causes 1. The power cord is not connected to the power outlet. 2. The outlet is out of electricity. Remedy 1. Check if the power supply is 220-240V. 2. Check the circuit breaker of the house. Reset it if necessary. B. The unit works but the red alarm light is on.
