The highest placed pony in each class will qualify for the Final. Where the pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than 3 rd place. As this is a breed show owners need not be members of the NPS but when a pony qualifies the owner must become an NPS Full Member for the pony to enter the Final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. Every Competitor will receive a memento of the show.

GENERAL CONDITIONS 1. Neither the Show Committee nor any of its officers, servants, or assistants shall be in any way responsible for any loss, injury or damages that may happen (from any cause or circumstances whatever) to exhibitors or their servants or assistants or other members of the public, or to any animal or property or to any vehicle brought into the Showground, or on premises used in conjunction with the Show, or while entering or leaving the same, or otherwise for anything else in connection with, or arising out of, or attributable to the Show. 2. NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and nonmembers but only ponies owned by adult NPS members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show August 2012. The highest placed pony owned by an NPS member in each class will qualify for the final. Where this pony has already qualified the pony standing next in line which is owned by an NPS member and has not already qualified receives the qualification. Qualification may go no lower than 3rd place. Judges and/or stewards will check membership cards prior to presenting the qualifying rosettes and cards. NPS Standard members will be required to upgrade to Full membership to enter the final.nps/rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. 3. Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any consequential or other loss, injury or damage done to or occasioned by, or arising from any animal (including the spread of any infection or contagious disease) or article exhibited or introduced to the Showground by him or her and shall indemnify the Show Committee against all actions, proceedings, liabilities, claims, damages and expenses in relation to or arising out of his or her entry or entries in the Show. 4. The Show Committee in its absolute discretion may, without assigning any reason, refuse an entry or cancel any entry already accepted or may decline to admit to the Showground any animal or exhibitor or person or withhold any prize. Whenever, under this regulation any entry is refused or cancelled, or any exhibit, exhibitor or person is refused admission or is removed, the fees paid for such entry may, at the discretion of the Show Committee, be refunded and if refunded, shall be accepted by the exhibitor or intending exhibitor in full satisfaction of all claims against the Show Committee. 5. The Show Committee shall have the power to suspend or remove from the Showground, at the expense and risk of the person responsible, their stock or property, or anyone who shall infringe any of the regulations of the Show or the Welsh Pony and Cob Society or who shall refuse to comply with any instructions given by the stewards, or whose conduct shall in the opinion of the Show Committee be derogatory to the character or prejudicial to the interest of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society or its members, or who in the opinion of the Show Committee have been guilty of any act or omission involving cruelty or unnecessary suffering to, or neglect of any animal, and all forfeits, fees and charges shall be due by the person responsible before any removal from the Showground takes place. 6. The Show Committee reserves to itself the sole and overriding power to interpret these and any other prescribed Rules and Regulations or the terms of any Show Schedule and to settle and determine all matters, question or disputes in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of or connected with or incidental to the Show.

7. The Welsh Pony and Cob Society s Showing Rules shall apply, subject to precedence being taken by any of the show s own regulations and in the case of the NPS qualifying rounds to the rules of the NPS. 8. Exhibitors should not enter an animal when that animal will be judged by a person who is the breeder or who has had a financial interest in the animal. 9. All entries must be registered, or in the case of foals be eligible for registration, with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society or one of her recognised daughter societies. Animals registered with a daughter society must have a pedigree which can be traced back to sires and dams exported from the United Kingdom with export certificates. All ponies must have a passport (except foals under 6 months old and accompanied by their dams). 10. Dams of exhibited foals must accompany the foal in the ring 11. Any Mare that has produced a foal in the current year must be accompanied by that foal in the show ring. 12. A fall of a pony or rider in any class will result in disqualification. The rider must not remount in the ring. 13. Exhibitors must not wear clothing bearing the name of their stud while in the show ring. 14. Animals should not be left unattended when tied to the side of trailers or lorries. 15. The judges decisions are final. 16. Objection shall be made within 30 minutes of the termination of the class, in writing, with the objector s full name and address, and lodged at the Secretary s Office, together with the sum of 100. All deposits shall be returned if the objection is sustained, or forfeited if the objection is found to be frivolous or incorrect in any detail. 17. The Show Committee accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, injury or damage to any person, animal or property on the Showground, in the stables, car parks and their approaches. 18. The Show Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide any class according to the number of entries received, to return or refuse any entry and to appoint substitutes for a judge, who may be unavoidably prevented from officiating. 19. Hard hats must be worn whilst mounted on the Showground. All competitors Ridden, Driven or exhibiting in In-hand classes must be correctly and tidily dressed. No spurs to be worn in the ridden classes. A whip or stick with a maximum length of 75 cm may be used. 20. Only 1 (one) person (= pony handler) shall be accompanying a pony or cob in the show ring for the In-Hand classes. 21. Dogs must be kept under control and on leads at all times and to be kept away from the show rings. 22. No fires to be lit or barbeques to be held in the horse box lines
