WEEKLY RELEASE - JUNE 3 Six WDA teams as well as the top individual golfers in the conference will compete in the Tournament which is Tuesday, June 7 and Wednesday, June 8 in Minot. West Fargo won last year s title. The last time Minot hosted the Meet was 2006..., in 2013, was the last WDA team to win the title...jake De- Forest of St. Mary s, in 2013, is the last WDA golfer to win medalist honors at the Meet... and tied for third at the West Region Meet while Dickinson and Jamestown tied for sixth ( and Dickinson won the tiebreak which is based on the score of the fifth golfer for each team)...minot s Cody Reynolds became the first golfer since 1983-84 (BHS Kent Hanson) to win back-toback West Region titles. Minot put together another solid round of golf, winning the West Region Tournament for the first time since 2014. The Magi have won its last six meets. WEEKLY RELEASE - MAY 27 WDA teams will head to the Magic City on Tuesday, May 31 for the West Region Tournament. The top six teams qualify for the state tournament which Minot will also host (June 7-8). St. Mary s won last year s region title. Minot s 320 scoring average earned it the WDA title...three times this season a playoff has been needed to determine a medalist, including twice last weekend...legacy and are the only teams that have not had a golfer break 80 this season...the top 10 golfers based on scoring average earn all-wda honors...minot and were the only teams to post a WDA meet title.
