The Boilermaker Grand Prix An Overview The Boilermaker Grand Prix is a new and exciting cycling festival that is coming to the Purdue University Campus in August of 2012. Taking place around iconic Ross-Ade Stadium, the race celebrates the annual birthday of the Purdue Cycling Club. The event aims to promote safe and fun cycling within the Greater Lafayette Community. A sports festival that is unique to Lafayette-West Lafayette area. Dedicated to promote cycling safety awareness and healthy lifestyles. Held on streets surrounding a unique and historic part of West Lafayette. Will attract over 250 local, regional, and national level athletes. 500+ spectators and it is very family friendly. Well-recognized event by national sports organizations: USA Cycling Music Festival live music throughout event. Expo/vendor area featuring sponsors and food concessions plus fun, fitness, and commercial displays. Sponsored by the Purdue Cycling Club and other local businesses.
