3.0 DECLARATION OF INTEREST Nil. 4.0 ANNOUNCEMENTS Nil. 5.0 MINUTES 5.1 Confirmation of Minutes Recommendation That the Minutes of the Gascoyne Country Zone meeting held on Thursday 27 November 2014 be confirmed as a true and accurate record of the proceedings. Moved Cr Marsh / Seconded Cr Cowell 5.2 Business Arising 5.2.2 State Aviation Strategy The secretariat will follow up regarding the next steps of the State Aviation Strategy. 6.0 ZONE BUSINESS 6.1 Zone Meeting Dates 2015 The following calendar for Gascoyne Zone meetings was endorsed at the November 2014 meeting: ZONE MEETING TYPE LOCATION Thursday 26 February 10:30am In-Person Carnarvon Thursday 30 April 3:00pm Thursday 25 June 10:30am In-Person Carnarvon Thursday 27 August 3:00pm Thursday 26 November 10:30am In-Person Exmouth Since that time, the Shire of Exmouth has resolved to hold their Ordinary Council meetings on the last Thursday of the month to avoid clashes with other regional meetings. Shire of Exmouth Council meetings will clash with the planned Zone / RRG meetings, as per the table above. The recommended timetable for Zone meetings to be held, to ensure Zones are able to have input into the State Council agenda, is as follows: 2014 STATE COUNCIL MEETING DATES SUGGESTED DATES FOR ZONE MEETINGS Wednesday 4 March 2015 Friday 20 February Friday 27 February 7-8 May 2015 (Albany) Monday 24 April Friday 1 May Wednesday 1 July Friday 19 June Friday 26 June Wednesday 3-4 September (Regional) Friday 21 August Friday 28 August Wednesday 2 December Friday 20 November Friday 27 November Gascoyne Zone Meeting 26 February 2015 2

It is recommended that Zone and RRG meetings be held on the second-last Friday of the month for a number of reasons: The second-last Friday of the month will avoid Council meetings of member Local Governments scheduled for the fourth or last week of the month; and, Friday will give the Zone a greater chance of securing the attendance of politicians including Ministers, as Parliament sits Tuesday-Thursday. Finally, it will be difficult to hold the meeting earlier in the second-last week of the month due to the publication and distribution of the State Council Agenda. That: 1. Zone meetings for 2015 be held as follows: ZONE MEETING TYPE LOCATION Friday 1 May 2:00pm Friday 19 June 10:30am In-Person Carnarvon Friday 21 August 2:00pm Friday 20 November 10:30am In-Person Exmouth And 2.
